Donut tile! The awesome thing is there’s a studded version so you can use these as a stud-reversal turntable, and you can drive a bar through it to help hold it together.
I first encountered these in City sets where they were used in trailer connections. Now I’m wondering if there is a low-profile tire that I can put on it.
@MeisterDad:
I've found that it's possible to fit the modern motorcycle tires around a 2x2 round "wheel". Pair them up and they're about the same width as the 6015 tire, and only slightly larger in diameter. They'll just barely fit the 50745 fender, which is about the right look for a sports car with really stiff suspension.
I'm not usually one to quote Homer Simpson but... Mmm, donuts.
I like these. My fave variant is with printed fan blades: 21605

Indeed. But I don't think I have ever seen this technique used in any official set. Was it used tho?
@thor96:
I have no idea, but there are so many more possibilities beyond what you’ll ever find in official sets.
Everyone else seems to be seeing “donut” but I’m getting more “vinyl disc record”. Haven’t eaten many thin, pitch black donuts :D
Useful when connecting two technic plates together which you want freedom to rotate about each other.
Just got three of these today in tan. I'm playing around with ideas for palm trees. I actually had a pretty good design figured out, but then when I ordered parts to make more, I discovered they screwed it up by changing the pin on the dinosaur tail so you can't feed a bar into it.
