Friends Advent Calendar - Day 6

Posted by ,

Yesterday's Pride Pony was very cute, though from the build it's clear that it's not meant for a minidoll. It's definitely a microdoll size. I wonder if that means we'll find a microdoll soon. Besides, I think Olivia needs a companion to go to the Christmas market (if we ever get there).

Indeed, we have a microdoll! Today it's Ava, a relative of Mia's (a cousin or sister depending on the source). Like all microdolls, she's adorable and I really like her freckles.

She fits on the Pride Pony just fine, and I'm sure she'll have a great time at the Christmas market (though she'll be a little cold with that short sleeved dress).

The microdoll is cute, but my only complaint is that again (sigh) there's no special festive wear for our Christmas market patrons this year.

For Olivia's sake I hope the pony's farts smell like a rainbow as well as look like one!

I guess a minidoll can sit on the pony? (But it looks more like a dog than a pony.)

@Yooha She should take it to a dog and pony show!

@Yooha: I said that yesterday. There wouldn't need to be a foot plate if it was just for a microdoll.

How is that not festive? It’s blue, like your skin if you stay outside too long with inadequate clothing. It’s got bits of unidentifiable plant material on it. And is that a cruller? A Christmas Cruller! Which I’m sure is a thing. Somewhere.

I like how we've all come to just call it the pride pony now. Community developments like that makes these so fun to follow on the daily.

I think that Ava is riding a unicorn?

I've fair gotten used to minidolls by now, but these microfigures just creep me out. There's just something wrong about them, and by 'something', I of course mean 'everything'.

@Ridgeheart: Personally, I think they're adorable. Although the use of the standard minidoll head does leave their proportions looking weird...

I don't know what bothers me so much. Is it the horrific proportions, where the head is larger than the entire body? Is it the forced, unnaturally cramped angle of the wrists? Is it the weirdly fused, socket-wrench "hands"?

Yes.

@YanVanLan:
Well, I am overdue to get a new prescription for my glasses, but I don’t think that’ll change things. I haven’t nearly hit the point of think that thing has a unicorn horn. Anyways, I looked up the Fortnite Llama. If you swapped out the white and light-yellow for blue and dark-purple, the color scheme (but not the pattern) would be almost the same as the loot llama. I’ve never played or watched the game, but apparently I’ve seen enough ads, trailers, and toys for the game that I was able to pick up on the fact that the azure and lavender shades used here are almost perfect matches for the loot llama.

My daughter recieved a build instead of Ava... Hopefully Ava will show-up on a later day.
