Friends Advent Calendar - Day 10

Posted by ,

I think the s'mores station yesterday counts as dessert, so perhaps the dining portion of the calendar is done. What activities will the minidolls do next?

Another classic build for the advent calendar - a snowman! Every year, I link to The Frosty Review, the article written about all the LEGO snowmen and the myriad ways they've been built. That article is five years old - how is that possible? - so hopefully someone will update it. I think there have been a few snowmen build since then.

This is a very serviceable snowman, and I really like the teal heart.

Red would be better for Xmas cheer. Teal seems a little cold... for a heart... during Xmas... po' sad snowman. :(

@MeganL An updated article on LEGO snowmen would be in place. Perhaps one that's easily updated each year with the newest additions. Additionally, you fine people could add a link to the snowman tag in the database, so we can get a quick overview of all snowmen 'minifigs'. This one doesn't look too exciting compared to some others we've gotten.

After all, what's Christmastime without traditions?

That is probably one of the better ways to create a snowman from Lego pieces.

I think it's a little weird that it's a minifig head instead of a minidoll one.

@StyleCounselor:
Red would be better for part availability. Currently, it has only been used in one make-and-take event at Michael’s craft stores (of all places).

@YanVanLan:
You’d have to mount it to a nipple tile, because minidolls have a bar-diameter neck. And it would look hella creepy.

I would swear there was one in a Dots pack.

By in Netherlands,

Pretty basic. A base with some snow could have made it a bit more substantial :)
