Friends Advent Calendar - Day 20

Posted by ,

Yesterday's collection of builds showed that reindeer get something to eat at the Christmas market, too! One of the builds was a present, hopefully we will get a tree soon in order to have somewhere to place the present on the placemat.

Finally, a Christmas tree! This is another nice rendition of the annual decorations. It's built in the style that we've seen in some Friends sets in the last couple of years. I like how 1x1 round plates are used for decorations on the tree.

A present is also included that opens to show a clear blue heart. All in all, a really nice build for the day.

Can't deny it, that's a pretty cool tree with a real present box, nice.

Great tree! The construction's quite original for a Christmas tree, at least AFAIK.
That said, looking at those parts makes me miss Elves, man!

Was there a spare heart? Because I feel like, that could go on the top of the tree.

At first, I thought that was a heart tile in trans-blue. And now I want them to make that piece in trans colors.

@Binnekamp : 41677 had similar trees

By in Denmark,

a serious question: Do you normally have advent calendars in the US besides the LEGO ones? (In Denmark all sorts of advent calendars are common), and would they have 25 instead of 24 days?

@Martin_S:
I’ve seen toys, candy, and even one for booze that was priced wrong (shelf tag was for 10x what a pricechecker showed). One that has popped up in the last few years is themed packs of a dozen pairs of socks. I don’t know if it only runs 12 days, or if you only get one sock per day and have to wait two days for each complete pair. I’ve never seen any that run 25 days.

I love this tree. This is one of my favourite builds of this calendar.

Yes we have all sorts of Advent Calendars in the US, 24 days. Lots of different candy ones. Others with Coffees, Teas, Funko Pops, other little collectible toys, make-up, the already mentioned ones with Socks, Wines, Beers, mixed food treats, ones for Cats or Dogs. There are also some that are sold as Twelve Days of Christmas which I like to think are meant be opened between Christmas Day & January 6 (Little Christmas). Similar types of items are found in many of those.
