Friends Advent Calendar - Day 24

Posted by ,

Merry Christmas Eve! It's been so much fun building our way through the calendar, and watching the Christmas market take shape. Yesterday's chair was a lovely build, and obviously is waiting for its occupant. As a result, there's little surprise as to what we'll find behind today's door.

Santa! I think this minidoll looks marvellous with the double rows of buttons going down the length of his long coat. The fur trim looks fantastic and matches well with his long white gloves. He has a sack ready for all the toys for the good boys and girls.

It's a tall order for the reindeer to haul Santa around all night, but perhaps the reindeer is getting some practice in before he makes it to the big leagues.

All the builds have made for a well populated Christmas market, that I wouldn't mind visiting.

Sloths may not be included in this set, but they're a well-travelled lot, so they've found their way here. Can you find them?

This has been a fun calendar for me. While there were some misfires (I wasn't terribly excited with the microphone on Day 13 or the camera on Day 22), there were many more that I thought were quite nice builds. Some of my favourites were the Pride Pony on Day 5, the cupcake stall of Day 21, and Santa's chair on Day 23. Santa himself was excellent, and who can forget the legendary wurst from Day 7?

I hope you have enjoyed the countdown as much as I have. I very much appreciate the engagement in the comments, which have taken grammatical, whimsical, and some seriously dark turns. They made me laugh almost every day.

Merry Christmas!

Slender Santa! This calendar was fun, for the most part.

Never forget, friends, the shrine of the holy hotdog.

I spent so long looking for sloths in the wrong picture...

I have nothing here. Teen girls with waistlines is one thing. Anorexic Santa in a dress. Can't do it!!

Nevertheless, Merry Christmas and happyholidays, everyone!

This has enough good parts. I'll probably grab a copy if I can find it under $15- which usually happens around late Jan or Feb.

Superb minidoll! It's great that we get an elderly male one for once! With an amazing coat! And good too, as we'd otherwise have only gotten one full-sized minidoll (and two microdolls).

But that isn't Santa. That's the right-hand man of the emperor penguin emperor. The clothing wasn't red before he started his workday...

Merry Christmas!

The three models in the second picture are the main reasons I bought this calendar on sale once the Advent had already started. Also, only in Friends ACs would we get Mrs. Claus two years before Santa, as in 41420. Looking forward to next year's Friends AC, to see which members of the new cast make it!

STOP BODY SHAMING SANTA!

All I see is a girl wearing white pancake makeup along her jaw.

Anyways, having not purchased this one...ever...I'm curious about something. On a sealed box, how many of the models are spoiled in advance, and what is the last day you can open and build something that comes as a surprise?

*gasp* The mint-ish sloth is sitting on the Supreme Throne of the Blood-Emperor Penguin! Who let this happen?

Maybe the sloths were working for him, all along?

" Santa in a dress."

Personally, I like the greatcoat. Makes far more sense in cold weather than a short jacket

I wanted to tell you how much fun I had in these comment threads this year with you.

@Randomness:
And the purple one is playing hooky.

@toc13:
Except it hinders your movement. From the Eskimos and Inuit of the boreal regions of North America, to the Sámi of the Nordic countries, I don’t recall ever once seeing them wearing a greatcoat as part of their historic cultural attire. It’s great if you’re just going to stand there, or take a leisurely walk, but forget about actually doing any sort of work.

It’s Nicholas St. North!…minus swords, for some reason.
