City Advent Calendar - Day 14
Posted by MeganL,We've moved outdoors to the barn with yesterday's build and chicken with the impossibly large egg. Perhaps we'll be furnishing the barn over the next few days?
Today we have Madison Yea, though the box calls her Maddy. Maddy is Billy's classmate, though fortunately she doesn't come with a Twirly Hat to get her into trouble! She comes equipped with a lantern that's almost as big as she is. It will certainly come in handy if she needs to venture to the barn at night.
Maddy is our second dual-sided head of the calendar, and I like that her torso has some nice detailing, even on the back.

Not the most christmas-y character, as it looks like she has her jacket open!
But minifigs are always nice! The lantern is a ice inclusion too.
That is one massive hand-cannon. Colour me impressed. Colour Rocket jealous.
I love this torso.
Huh. When I first saw the tan stud(s), I figured in the context of yesterday's build that it was chicken feed. Color me surprised when I looked at the door.
Brilliant I love it
Well, she'll still have an easier time carrying that lantern than yesterdays chicken would have laying that egg.
@Binnekamp: Hey, maybe it doesn't get that cold in Lego City in December. Or maybe she's just hot-natured.
I'd put the lantern on the torso and the head in the hand like some sort of 'they were a robot all along!' reverse Scooby-Doo reveal but that might just be me
@Ridgeheart:
Rocket’s not the only one who’s jealous of a pack-in accessory today.
@TheOtherMike:
In Metro Detroit, it doesn’t get cold enough for me to close up my jacket except in February and sometimes January. Until our LUG’s event season concludes in early January, I put on a thick hoodie with a no-liner denim jacket, and almost never zip up the hoodie. But I also don’t do stuff that involves staying outside for long periods of time.
Sure wish they didn't put all the Minifgs on even days (or all on odd days, had they done that...)
Cute minifigure and I love the lantern!
Loving the expressions on this minifig. :D
@CCC: I was thinking the flaming type of torch until you said "not an open flame," then realized you meant the UK usage of "torch."
@TheOtherMike:
I first encountered that reading the Chronicles of Narnia (specifically Prince Caspian, I believe), and I could have figured it out pretty easily, but I had to wait several years for Al Gore to invent the internet.
