I really like the cards, but I wish it wasn't a duel pack. £70 is just a bit too much, although I would happily get one at £35. Other stuff is cool, I like the monkie kid cameos in the parade. Really underrated theme IMO, shame it doesn't get more traffic in the west. Speaking of which, where's that monkey mech?
80110 Lunar New Year Display looks nice and even if it keeps 10 cents per part ratio it feels rather overpriced. i thought it will cost something around 50-60. And at the same time 80111 Lunar New Year Parade seems very good in euro zone.
January 10 in the US actually
Parade looks really good but lot of stickers this year.
Who calls them "red pockets"? I thought it was a typo for "red packets" (which we use) but apparently "red pockets" is a thing? I know red envelopes is used elsewhere and even that makes more sense than... "pockets."
Shame about the price, though. I want those printed butterflies.
Looks awesome
Great PRINTED butterfly
Love those "broken eggs" as flowers
And a return of the flowen with closed stud
Hearts as a fish tail, lmao
Parade will be a pain with all those stickers
Golden sausages
They are attractive, and the parade looks super fun (and it has some great new/recolored/printed parts), but we only tend to buy the place-based New Year sets, such as the Temple Fair, Spring Lantern Festival and the Ice Festival. I'm not too disappointed, though, because there are already too many sets on the old wish list....
So the tree is going to be a GWP?
Well, I’m not as upset by this price increase as I don’t plan on buying the smaller one. Still pretty lame. Oh well.

Thank you, that has been corrected.

I presume so, although sets with similar numbers are sometimes sold on LEGO.com.
The printed butterflies look great! I think the display is overpriced though. It feels like most of the price is paying for red bricks and plates. As for the parade set, I see why some have said it is too disorganized. Is the tree going to be a GWP? That was the set I was most likely to pick up. If it is placed behind a $200+ paywall, that saves me the trouble of deciding on the purchase.
A moment of silence for those poor souls who purchased a purple helmet for 50 bucks.
Are there purple hands hidden somewhere? Anywhere...?
The parade looks amazing. Tons of minifigs, "modular" dusplay, and it essentially shows you the basics to make your own carts to be added to the line.
I've always been on the fence about those CNY sets, but this one might be the one to make me jump in! Unless they announce a new theme soon, I feel like they're due for new stuff.
Gorgeous looking sets. I think most of the stickers are fine, but the ones where it's important that they accurately match the brick colour are a bit of a worry (e.g. the Lego logos on the New Year parade) unless they're spot on.
£160 feels O.K. for the 2 sets, especially if they add the Money Tree as a GWP.

They can be had at Lego.com (pick-a-brick) for 83p (part 76382/6368548).
These look very nice overall, and I may purchase the displays. I appreciate the care and attention to detail that goes into these sets every year.
The heck? USD is nearly on par with EUR, and this happens:
80045: €140 vs $160
80110: €80 vs $90
80111: €100 vs $130
Oh, but wait!
10411: €80 vs $70
Not a fan of all those stickers, but i really like the parade. Parades are just cool regardless. Those pink masks are also great. I need a bald one for my watcher minifig.
And i really like the lunar new year display. Great forms, colors, pieces. They look stunning. If i’d buy these and i would place them somewhere between my plants would it look silly for Chinese people? I mean it is for Chinese new year, right? Santa in the middle of the summer would also a bit out of place
I like them a lot better now that I've seen high res photos. Not sure about the prices though.
Very cute! It looks like all three parade floats have motion features, presumably activated as you push them along. The rabbit seems to hop or rear up, the drummer seems to rotate back and forth to beat the giant drum, and the Lego dragon seems to spin around! It's all very neat—to be honest I'm a little surprised that this is maybe the first Lego parade set, since it makes for such cool and interesting subject matter!
That is a lot of stickers in the parade set. You're evolving LEGO, but backwards.
That parade set looks great! More stickers than I would have liked, but that seems to be the only thing I can complain about. Maybe a bit on the pricey side when just looking at the builds, but the number of minifigs makes up for that. And different from some other recent sets, those minifigs belong in this set, you can't have a festival without lots of people.
The other set looks nice, but not something I'm interested in. And it that does feel rather overpriced. And same for the Duplo set, though somehow I do quite like that tree....
"My head is huge!"
Pretty!
Price conversions be as whack as ever!
Why are there so many stickers when Chinese Traditional Festival has almost entirely been prints?
I had no idea I wanted a Frank Sidebottom minifig until just now...

LOL!
I’m stoked about the prospect of being able to make proper purple classic space minifigs. All I’m missing now are helmets and air tanks. Wheee!
Day 1 purchase for the parade. The Lunar Display Models eventually too!

Down here in the southern Hemisphere Santa is out in the summer every year. Sometimes we just give him swimming shorts, a surfboard and some sunglasses, only keeping the hat and beard from his outfit. Shove him on the beach and you are good to go. Then there are those who just make him melt in all his furs.
80110 is beautiful but not quite my style and not worth $90.
80111 is also beautiful, is my style, and is worth $130. About the only negative I can think is I already have the other Festival sets 80103, 80105, 80107, and 80109.

What is worse is those Euro prices include tax, so the USD prices are another 10% higher.
As a rabbit I'm obligated to get the parade.
Those two cards look spot-on. Not sure how I feel about the adult-oriented Lego-a-like models that replace real things with plastic that's like 10x more expensive, but I have to admit, the craftmanship + design is exquisite.
Is it just me or does the rabbit on the parade float seem to be eating a red packet and pooping gold coins?? [sorry - but I just can not see that]
I hope the Tree if a GWP is valid on all Lego purchases, not just Monkie kid or CNY sets. I'll probably get the parade but I'm not interested in the rest and I'm doubtful the GWP threshold would be low enough to just purchase the one set.
The display looks gorgeous, but that price tag is a BIG ask. Looks like I'm going to have to give this lot a miss this year
Really like 80110....but gonna pass with the price.
@Miyakan:
I do that, too. I’ve got a Santa car with a matching trailer full of presents, an elf sitting in the rumble seat, and strings of Christmas lights hanging on the ends. I’ll display it that way for two upcoming shows, and then he’s into the off-season. For that, Santa and the elf switch to board shorts and sunglasses (Santa gets the red/white “C” cap), Mrs. Claus joins them in a red one-piece, and the presents in the trailer get swapped out for a rack with three surfboards.
@Froggage:
Well, that varies based on where you live. 6% for me, 0% in a few states like Alaska, and I think it peaks at 13.5% somewhere. But the point is, how is the USD number higher on three of these, and then lower on just the Duplo set?
Every year this theme impresses.
I am really loving the Parade and can't wait to get it. This is the first year I will be adding a Chinese New Year Festival section to my Winter Village with The Story of Nian and The Ice Festival from last year (plus I just ordered the Lion Dance and Temple Fair). I will probably get the Parade and save it to build until next year because I will have to take my village down before the set is available in the US.
Seems like those large pink masks in the Parade set are compatible with the Thanos Bigfig with the removable head from 76192 Avengers: Endgame Final Battle... Cursed Bigfig potential!
I just realized there is a new animal "helmet" piece since 2019, to celebrate the new zodiac year: pig, rat, ox, tiger, and now rabbit. So, 7 more to go!
@Yooha: Yes, you are correct on the "helmet" thing, but the funny thing with this year's is; it kinda' a re-mold of an existing helmet.
We've had a...'bunny helmet' (kinda' chuckled typing that:)) since that CMF of the 'Bunny-Suit Guy'. This one appears to have a bit more contouring on/about the minifigures forehead...or its equivalency...

If think you should buy and display whatever you like :) But no, chinese people would not think it silly. They would be curious and perhaps even happy that someone likes their culture enough to display something from their culture - regardless of if its the material that is the driving factor ;)
Chinese people are like all other people ;)
What would you think/feel/ask if a box of Hagelslag was visible on a non-dutch persons breakfasttable/kitchen shelf?

I'd think finally a piece of civilisation has trickled across our borders! ;)
I'm gonna be really stoked to add the Parade to my Modular City - either in current form, or with some alterations as a carnaval-parade! Great sets - only let down (as mentioned earlier) is the move away from printed-only! Great PPP in the EU too!
The parade is really cool, and with 18 mini-figs is practically a whole collectable series on its own! I hope one day they do a NY or Rio parade as the floats allow great creativity in Lego. The pink heads will feature in my next horror movie.
A lot of effort was put into these sets. …I hope it was all well placed.
On a side note: LEGO: Please, make more botanical sets!!! …They’re a favorite project for my kids. (Flowers on these sets remind me that I’ve now run out of new sets for them)
@SweetTooth said:

I probably won’t notice :-D, but maybe also because hagelslag isn’t season bound. It is very tasty though! Didn’t know it is typical dutch by the way, i can recommend all of you to pour hagelslag on your sandwiches
@quincy:
Previously, botanicals have launched on January 1st, and aside from staggered regional rollout of these sets, I don’t think we’ve seen anything that will launch next year.

I believe there were rumors of a wildflower bouquet next year. I think there was another set as well, but I can't recall it.

10314 Dried Flower Decoration

Ah, yes, I forgot about the Dried Flower Decoration!
Looking up examples, it has the opportunity of looking amazing or absolutely hideous. They are rumored by Promobricks though, so they are most likely going to happen.
I am a bit confused why they featured the sets with red pockets having a tiger head, cuz the next Lunar new year should be Rabbit's year. Or perhaps they prepared 12 different printed parts?

I don't think that's a tiger, I think it's a lion dance costume head (associated with Lunar New Year traditions regardless of the Zodiac year).

Ohhhhhh I think you are right! Not a very frequently seen pattern on red pockets but really adorable. Hope they can provide the same red pockets as gifts in the LCS lol
