Think these must be US deals as several aren’t reduced here. Pity, I would have been tempted by World Map

By in United States,

@Huw , several of the sets you listed have reduced prices in Australia but not in Europe. Those include World Map, Sanctum Sanctorum, Vespa, and Orchid.

I've been looking at various regions in anticipation of potential sales here in the United States, and was surprised to see that the first four Brick Sketches -- Batman, Joker, BB-8, and Stormtrooper -- are on the Sale items list. None of them have been available on the US Lego site for ages.

Nothing is listed for the US yet, at least as far as I can tell. It’s still 4.5 hours till midnight here.

4 £5 Discount Codes, 3 Sale Sets,1964 Keychain grabbed.

Discount Codes and Promo Codes can now be entered in the same box. That makes things much simpler!
(Still only 1 Promo Code per order of course)

Only spent £32 so far, so would be interested if the World Map does get reduced. I think there was a hint of different things on different days

@woosterlegos:
Midnight for the US is spread out over a five-hour span, because we span six time zones. I haven’t seen it often, but some people west of EST/EDT have been burned by becoming too obsessed with midnight being the start time, and forgetting that the entire US uses the same site. As soon as it goes live in Eastern, Hawaii/Aleutian gets access at 7pm. One person showed up over two hours late for one of the coin drops because they lived on the west coast, and had seen that it would show up in the Reward Center at 9am.

@Gwanny007
Over the next three days, I’ve got 24 hours of Detroit Festival of Trees followed by teardown. Less reason to go shopping on Black Friday is a welcome thing. I’ll make sure to grab a code for the next keychain, but if there’s nothing that catches my eye in terms of sale prices, that’s not a bad thing.

I’m hoping to get the Sanctum Sanctorum for a discount. I know it’s not guaranteed to be on sale in the US just because it’s on sale elsewhere, but in the interest of hoping, does anyone know the percent discount for that set in other parts of the world?

Only seeing 15% on Optimus Prime--doesn't even match the 20% (with double VIP) from a few weeks ago, go figure. I don't know, looking pretty lackluster. Will probably just order something exclusive and unlikely to be discounted just to get to the free shipping so I can get my Dragon Ride.

That's the set I was looking to nab, and its not discounted in Canada. Shows up on the BF list; no discount on it. (Nor the Real Madrid set.) Sigh. Haha, that's exactly my plan. I find that they add deals around midnight PST so check then. Hoping for Prime or BTTF. Strange that they have Prime listed, but not discounted. Maybe it'll get a discount on "Cyber Monday".

The stuff being reduced in price in Czech Republic is laughable. It looks more like getting rig of Lego they are unable to sell. Great Black Friday indeed. Funny like ordinary shops are 20-30% cheaper than Lego eshop itself (VIP points included). I don't understand this philosophy. Well, hard pass.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Just an FYI for Uk peeps, Argos has the UCS landspeeder at 30% off and Mandos starfighter at £20 off , pushed the button at those prices.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Don't forget the $5 VIP discounts! You can redeem four of them, and use them immediately, i.e. $15 off ($20 discount for the points price of $5).

Gravatar
By in United States,

^ I ended up doing that. Not a bad take--ordered the Jazz Quartet with 4x $5 vouchers purchased at 75% off with VIP points earned (just realized VIP points are no longer doubled as they were over the weekend?), and was able to add my Dragon Ride I'd purchased last week and meet the free shipping threshold.

When did this stuff start requiring so much thought???

In Germany I can see Optimus Prime (which I already have) and the Robot Inventor set, but not the others.
But there are some interesting (at least at the discounted price) smaller sets here, which at least make nice parts packs. The Vidiyo stages sets are 50% off, several exclusive BrickHeadz are 40% off, and some store exclusives too. Not too bad.

I actually liked this black Friday very much. There are discounted Monkey Kid sets, you are not able to get in other shops. And then the possibility to redeem 4 125 CZK coupons and use all of them on single purchase? Wonderful! Of course for other stuff broadly available, other retailers are much much cheaper

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Honestly really disappointed with Black Friday for the UK, these are all just the sets that aren’t selling/retiring soon, with a handful of icons thrown in. Barley any monkie kid or Ninjago, I was really hoping Ninjago city gardens would be on sale. Do they change sets everyday? Or add to the sale?

Sounds odd! 5$ codes should still be 5$ codes... It just costs 75% less VIP points than usual to get them.

On the website 'VIP Account / Rewards Redeemed' will show you what you got and how many VIP points it cost you.

There was a waiting line at midnight just to get on the LEGO site. :'-) Some pretty good discounts. Might cave...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Well that is incredibly disappointing on the UK website. I'd seen the Australian discounts and hoped we would have some the same or similar but the only high-profile set is Optimus Prime with only 20% off. I had hoped to buy the Justifier with 30% so I only reached the £170 threshold, not £250. I had to place an order of some kind for the Pirate Ride. The 75% off £5 discount codes sounds high but as it is limited to 4 per customer it's nothing more than a gesture really, essentially giving you £15. Were there any new VIP rewards we weren't already aware of? The discount on old VIP rewards did not have a high expectation to begin with but still managed to disappoint. Not as good as VIP weekend, and that was messy due to the convoluted way Lego want to give discounts. I'd much prefer they selected 25% of their products and gave a straight discount of 30-50% off those. No vouchers, no codes, no use of VIP points, just a "was" and "now" price.

This is a nightmare of lego buying, .... £800 on lego in ONE week..... : (

I really like how they advertise full price UCS sets as Black Friday deals. No, the full back story is that I cashed points in for Dragon Ride with my previous order and then was not able to add it to that order since I couldn't use more than one code at once. Then when I tried to make a small second order, I didn't have anything I needed/wanted to order to get me up to a free shipping threshold, so the Dragon Ride waited.

Not that it matters. My point is that the free shipping threshold is just another piece of the puzzle that needs to be considered in all of this. My point is how ridiculous all this has been made.

I have to say the “sold out” on the vouchers, I am finding quite lame and annoying. I saw this in my email this morning…

75% off a $5 discount
Redeem 75% fewer points for a $5 discount voucher, 11/25-11/28.
Redeem reward

Nothing at all about this being a limited item, so I figured I could do this at any point during this time frame. it came across like a deal they were offering to all their VIP members, just like they offer extra VIP points during a set time. I would have never guessed this was something that could “sell out”.
