Even though these pieces didn't really serve a purpose besides being able to interface with touchscreen devices, I still wish I had gotten them while they were available.

I got excited. thought this was an inverse headlight brick. :/

I remember figuring out that you didn’t actually need any of these to play the Ultra Agents app, you just needed to place the appropriate amount of fingers on the screen and move them about.

It’s quite a useless part

By in Canada,

I got several of these about 5 years ago to complete any future UA sets that might be missing them. So far, I have taken 1 out of the pile — the one that I needed to order at the time.

It could have been a cool button piece if given a cool print, but alas LEGO decided not.

I do not believe I have seen this piece in the flesh.

That's a good thing, as a Lego brick made of flesh raises so many questions and we probably don't want the answers! (that human-size "lifelike mini-figure costume" was creepy enough...)

... wow, this got dark.

By in United States,

Is it still possible to get the Ultra Agents app anywhere, or is it entirely lost down the memory hole all Lego software seems to enter six months after the sets are no longer sold?

I see a power symbol on the side of a brick. Can someone explain it’s use with the app that is mentioned in other comments?

As I understand it, in the Ultra Agents app, you could use small builds from the sets - with this brick, specifically the power symbol part, which can trigger a touch screen, at specific locations - to highlight areas of the screen and get to the next part of the game. You can see one of the builds and the advertising for it on the last pages of sets that included them, like 70167.

As others have said, you could also just use your fingers to mimic the desired shape, so it wasn't really that useful.

It's worse for minifigures. Is the house made out of mini-flesh, or are they made of house?

Yessir, that is definitely a design.

@Zordboy:
Have you met RPotD?

@B_Space_Man:
Based on one of the comments here, it’s the bastard love child of a LEGO brick and a stylus. Unloved by either parent, it was forced to fend for itself on the streets, where passersby would tell it they could just use their…hand you know what? Look at this car over here. It’s really old, and, uh, kinda shaped like a car. If you squint.

The only part to have ever been made in 342 Conductive Black!

Wow, a piece I have not yet known existed.
Then again, I can't really fathom why it existed. Also, why it hasn't been used since.
It could at least make for some nice greebling, for example on Modulars or other buildings.

I disagree. I don't know about your fingers, but I know where mine have been, and frankly, I disgust myself. I like these weird, special, electricity-conducting bricks for being able to touch my devices without having to press my greasy unwashed flesh against them.

And they're kind of pretty. These bricks, I mean - my fingers are 'okay', at best.

I wonder if this part could be used to interact with a touch screen smartphone or tablet? That might have some potential, and I know I have one somewhere.

That is the precise, and only, reason it exists.

It could, but whether that's useful to you depends on its intended application. It's molded in a conductive blend of plastic and carbon fiber, but doesn't generate its own charge—so like some capacitive touchscreen styluses, it's dependent on a human hand touching it. Still could be useful, and the fact that its material properties are what gives it its function rather than any sort of code or software means that its use could extend beyond the one app it was designed for.

I would never have understood what this piece was for if I hadn't read this thread. It is a genuinely confusing piece.
