Looks like a very specific part, that's pretty much not connectable to anything but the cockpit it's made for.

But I suppose it's still has the potential advantage of being easier replaced compared to the current all-in-1 cockpits seen in a set like 60343: Rescue Helicopter Transporter , if it ends up badly scratched somehow.

Usually after inserting this part, I don't want to take it out due to fear of breaking the whole assembly.

The main benefit is that it falls into a large but varied line of window/windshield glass that just snaps into the frame rather than requiring a machine to fuse the glass to the frame. The machine that used to do that to the vintage slip-toe windows died in a way they were unable/unwilling to repair, so any windows and windshields that relied on that to mate the two parts together had to be replaced, and any new designs going forward had to be designed with a snap-in glass element or go without.
