January offers at JB Spielwaren

Posted by ,

German retailer JB Spielwaren has some great offers on at the moment including unique GWPs and preorder discounts:

  • 15% off pre-orders of March releases, including Technic, Harry Potter, City and more.
  • Free 30637 Animal Tray and Bag Tag when you spend over €15
  • 30634 Friendship Flowers when you spend over €80
  • Custom minifigure surfer boy when you spend over €125

The most interesting offer, however, is a unique gift with purchase when you spend over €175: Wizard of LEGO Castle, the first of the 12 vignettes from the JB's Nostalgia Collection that will be available throughout the year.

They have been designed by prominent German AFOLs and only 500 of each will be available. They will all come in a box with printed instructions, an iconic minifigure and a custom chrome gold element.

Find out more about the nostalgia collection and place your order to secure one.

Ah, yet more great GWPs that I simply will not be able to get.

Indeed, lamenting no shipping to the US. Hopefully this and the others will show up on BLink.

It's time for you guys to be permanent European residents. Apply for green card sweepstakes at your local Consulate!

Good for JB!
… now why can’t TLG offer GWPs, or even proper sets, at this scale? I’m so burned out from their unceasing array of massive, over-the-top releases, give us smaller, but very cool, bits like this, too!

JB Spielwaren happened to have a few older sets I still wanted on sale, so I scooped them up and got the wizard and the other freebies with my order.

I am tempted with the CMF box being €122,09
Edit
Shipment of €9,99, no other interesting sets and I only get the wizard as a GWP other stuff is missing.
Sadly skip

By in Germany,

Please tell me JBS is not so desperate as to reach out to the best international LEGO database too just to sell their "limited" custom overpriced GWP's.

You won't see the additional GWP until you've finished the checkout. It's kind of odd, but I had the same thing.

Wait, so these
- are highly limited in quantity
- require a nearly $200 purchase
- aren't available internationally
- and are part of a set that expects you to collect *12*

I sense a rather glaring contradiction here. How is anyone expected to complete the collection when it has a theoretical £2,000 price tag??
I mean it seems, based on their announcement, that completing the collection is intended, but really? There's only 500 of each.

It just seems a little ridiculous. I hope Lego isn't taking notes.

A GWP custom set from a German retailer? What's stopping me from buying the pieces on BL for a few dollars? I guess an affiliate link means this is newsworthy...
