Used in one set from this year (60372). Looks like a brick which sits on a screw so as to slide back and forth for a moving platform controlled at a distance.

An interesting height.

I like the set it appears in, and hope to have personal experience with this part soon.

"Just stand on this platform as it does all the work on this obstacle course."

I assume this clicks, spins or slides. Or a combination.

Oh dang, this is like a brand brand new piece, like brand new. It's only use seems to be to attach the weird screw pieces on the obstacle course in the one set it's in.

@B_Space_Man:
Looking at the set mentioned above, it fits over a giant worm drive, and sits against a flat surface to keep it from rolling. Turn the worm drive, and it forces this to move in either direction. Do it enough times and it'll wear a scuff path in the parts that are used as a guide rail, though.

Interesting part. Its kind of useless without the worm gear like part needed to make it slide back and forth.

49....makes me wonder what was the rarest part we've seen in RPotD? This one is obviously rare because it's new, but still. I'd love to see a top 10 of the rarest parts....

49 owned. Wow.
Brickset members really swarmed to the shops in order to get this new set.

I was thinking only yesterday "I wonder what the least owned part is" and Huwbot picks this one today. It's like he can read my mind...

Great to see a completely different new part, expecting to see it in future Mario sets and as the corresponding worm gear can be geared could make an interesting GBC.

If nothing else this piece enlightened me that Lego had apparently made its own Wipeout course. Tried to hide it under a Police theme but we all know what it is XD

Talking about numbers, wouldn't it be possible to include how many you have in your collection? Or are these articles entirely pre-generated before posting, so no "live" data?

Huwbot's mind reading abilities are but one of its man-made horrors which are beyond human comprehension.

Another is picking the My Dad Scala set last year.

Data captured only at the time of posting, I believe.

Only required if you intend to use it with the corkscrew. This will work well along with a 2x2 plate to fill a 2x2x2 square area, with the option to turn it to expose the opening for a porthole or hide it for a solid wall (if it's not placed on the corner).

It will be useful for things like working elevators.

Might look cool on a ship, as round window,.

Or as anchor chain guide, as those chains won't fit through a regular technic hole due to the studded ends.
