Mario visits Pandora with this piece.
I like that it's purple...but I don't see myself using this. Ever.
Almost looks like it could be used on a speed champions car.
@Pink_Ice:
Too narrow, by far.
Apparently I own exactly half of the sets this part comes in

Aren’t speed champs 8 wide now?
@emjim21:
That was meant as a joke.
So we get a brand new piece, one of the most versatile pieces ever, and then a Super Mario rounded thing. That's remotely interesting. I may just happen to keep track of this pattern.
I have never seen anything like this in my entire life… l will go to the wastelands now, find a cave and rethink my life..

@emjim21 : don't worry, I didn't understand the joke either ;-)
I get super confused by pieces like this until I find out that they belong to a niche theme like Super Marlo

Wow! And I would have thought you would have been ecstatic about it, it being purple and all...
@Murdoch17:
Too big and clunky, with a shape that I'd basically have to design a MOC around to justify using it.
@Huw
What I'd really like to see (not sure if it is already feasible with the search engine) is: how many new parts (new parts does not include re-colour, it must be a new mould) are made per theme each and every year. For example: in 2023 City got 24 new parts, Friends got 37, Super Mario got 12, Technic 7, Minecraft 11, etc, etc.
Super Mario get a few very specific new parts every year but they are used in so many sets that I guess it makes economic sense to produce them even if they don't seem to have much value outside of the theme (except for the landing pads of the famed 10497).
@HOBBES:
If you factor in all the pre-stickered code tiles, Mario gets a metric crapton of exclusive new parts every year, but those code tiles probably also cycle out fairly quickly to make room for new ones. Certainly the packet tiles are one-and-done, with a complete turnover happening more than once annually. Like DOTS, these would occupy a recycled set of slots in the inventory. At some point, they would purge the inventory for each wave, and that would open up storage capacity for the parts needed for the next wave of collectible packets. Boxes. Well, one more wave of packets for CMF (Disney 3), and then we'll have to see how the switch affects the long-term prospects of the CMF theme.
