I like this piece! It looks nice in gold from my 71781, and the studs on all those surfaces are bound to prove useful in some way. Not a fan of the EVO mechs though

This is a really well designed part. You would think it's super specialized but the stud placement helps to make it incredibly versatile.

Havn't had the opportunity to use it, but it looks good at bulking up small mechs.

So... Is this considered a Juniors piece, or is it just a piece? I know it's very used in the Ninjago EVO sets, which are sorta Juniorized if I'm not mistaken, so... What is this piece?

Ninjago EVO mechs are designed with a younger target audience in mind, rather than the usual 8+. These mechs are more for 6+, which isn't 4+/Juniors. In fact, I don't recall seeing this piece anywhere in 4+ sets. This piece is used in Ninjago sets of various sizes, like in 71767 for Kai's EVO mech.

tl;dr It's not Juniors, just a staple of EVO mechs and an easy way to create bulky armor.

Fantastic piece: it’s used in fantasy settings.

I really hope we see this piece in more colors as we only see it in 3 different color so far.

As far as I'm concerned, we should of have a recolor of it in black or brown in 71782 as to how very little gold we see in that set.

My first thought was “motorbike chassis” but yeah, now I see armour plating makes sense

My 1st thought was: star wars speeder seat. And since speeders are hoverbikes I think we are both on to something!

By in Germany,

Looks like several other well known pieces fused together to create something totally odd looking. Have never seen this before. Then again, looking at the sets it appears in, small wonder I didn't know it.

It actually looks like the gas tank on a motorcycle.

By in Netherlands,

Has a good use on the elephant trunk on 80043: Yellow Tusk Elephant, since it offers the shape + 2 side panels to attach those shield tiles to.

The KK2 action figures would be proud of this.
