By in Australia,

So....it is self service?? And an honesty system of paying??

Nice idea for a Football add-on. Although I don't like sport, I did really like the Sports theme. I wonder if we will ever get a Lego golf course or tennis court.

This dude thinks he can just roll on up in here and overthrow 4463 Light as the best Soccer Polybag? I DON'T THINK SO!

Nothing says "Sporting event" like overpriced hot dogs.

By in United States,

I actually think I can make this literally just out of parts lying on my Lego table right now.
Sure, you could do the same yesterday, but that one had a minifigure that's not available to me.

This one is really just an extremely needless set. I'm sure it was just a promo at a sports game or store thing.

Do I get this masterpiece, or Rivendell? Decisions, decisions.

You seem to be forgetting the true masterpeice, 4466 Sign board."

If it doesn't count for Random Set of the Day (needs at least 10 pieces) then it can't be in the running for best Soccer Polybag.

By in Canada,

That dude’ looks a bit too happy about a hot dog trolley. Some sort of cheerleader?

By in United States,

This set is truly the wurst.

By in United States,

Even though this was evidently a free promotional giveaway, I would still feel like I got ripped off somehow…

By in United States,

Gluten free??

Gravatar
By in Turkey,

I have the field and the stands, so I could use one of these. I didn't know this set existed. I think I'll build one from my spares. Very nice idea.

No buns, so it is gluten free!

By in United States,

No buns for the wiener

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Buns didn't exist until years later.

For the time and for what it is I guess it was 'service'able

Gravatar
By in United States,

Those 2002 Sports polybags sure are...a thing that happened.

I really want 4466 because it's so terrible.
...and 4464 because I like Coca Cola.

By in United States,

Back when LEGO hot dogs didn’t have buns.

By in United Kingdom,

Man, that guy on the left is way too happy to be getting a hot dog. They can’t be that good, they don’t even have buns!

Gravatar
By in Hungary,

That little fellow is so happy that he can have hotdogs :)

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Hotdog Trolley?

From the box art I would have rather called it "Hotdog Catapult".

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Reminds me of one of those robotic delivery vehicles going around Milton Keynes, but in 2002 such things where just sci-fi.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

It's good to see the only remotely interesting part of a football match depicted!

Not a bad set for its time. It did its job and likely was most useful when purchased with the other polybags and the soccer-related sets. Put them all together, you'd have a pretty good collection and a lot of play value.

But I agree with an earlier poster: The hot dog cart set that came out about five years ago is far superior.

By in Turkey,

I built it and it fit beautifully. Thanks RSOTD

Where’s the driver of this full-size, vintage Town vehicle?

@Brickchap:
11023 is the current golf course. You’ll need a lot of them.

@Brickbuilder0937:
Well, to be fair, I’ve been to NYC in winter, and there were a lot of hot dog carts selling expensive hot dogs that smelled like they were being cooked over a tire fire. I think I’d rather fly all the way to Anchorage and get a reindeer sausage from one of the carts downtown.

@cody6268:
I made a rear-mount bicycle version (before they made a front-mount bicycle frame). It’s even better. It has burnt hot dogs in untoasted buns, and the Flash is making an “I’m not sure I should eat this” face as he inspects his latest influx of calories.

@Sam_A_Rama:
I’ve actually been seeing a rash of idiot-marketing labels. Stuff like “gluten free popcorn” (gluten comes from wheat, and popcorn is literal whole grains of corn). Or “plant-based pasta”. Apparently durum wheat is no longer a plant.

@PDelahanty:
From one perspective, 4464 is better because the bottles are “full”. From another perspective, 4071 is better because it is the only set with clear 1x1 cones. Though, I guess the ultimate version would be to combine the exclusive red crate and the exclusive clear cones.

well, if the clear bottles were put in another set, they'd no longer be exclusive, right?

I came today just for the comments. I wasn't disappointed. :)
