Well that is a piece I guess. What is weapon 1, 2010? And how many are there?
Praise be, it's a part with Lore!
I mean... this *is* a Bionicle part (say from... 2010) right?
:-P
Or
"Hero Factory Weapon, Energized Harpoon with Molded Lime Boomerang Pattern"
As it is called on Bricklink, part 87803pb01
Lore!!! Hero Factory was an agency responsible for building robotic heroes to protect the galaxy
Natalie Breez was one of the rookies of Hero Factory. She wielded two of these weapons, energized boomerangs she could repeatedly fire from the hilts.
Lucas Valor, a combiner model of the Breez, Stormer, and Furno sets, used two of this part as a piece of his head/mask.
I always found the wave 1 heroes to be.... A bit archaic. They managed to be more plain than the original 2001 Toa, which wasn't a great first impression. The series definitely grew on me though. Some of the later builds were fantastic, Witch Doctor was always an absolute standout
it says it's a limearang.
That category always amuses me. Aren't the all loose, at least until you get the set built? Although there are some sets that don't have you attach everything down, like the loose 1x1s in 10281 and 21313, or the contents of treasure chests and like.
@Muncher: Yeah, I remember the press release for Hero Factory talking about how innovative it was going to be compared to Bionicle, then seeing the sets and thinking, "This is innovative?" Then HF 2.0 came along and I was like, "Okay, I see it now." That said, I wish I'd gotten 7165. I did get Breez' 2.0 and Breakout incarnations, as we as her minifig from 44020.
Oh, a Hero Factory part. I think there were pages about this in my early Lego magazines, and little me was thinking "What is this?", cause I'd never seen it at stores. Or maybe I did, and little me didn't pay attention.

I dunno, sequels are seldom as good as the original.
You know, somehow I was able to guess this part came out in 2010.

Thank you.
I think weapon 5 stands out to me as the one I would most want to use. Could be a cool lightning effect if I can hide the base.
@MeisterDad: Yes, but sometimes you get The Empire Strikes Back or The Wrath of Khan. (Can you tell I'm a sci-fi buff?)
Hmmm...right 'month', wrong 'year'...also: kinda' looks like an antenna/'rabbit-ears'...
Weapon 1 (2001) was a much better movie.

I, um…cut the base off. The remaining bit can connect, albeit loosely, to an axle joiner, and looks pretty cool coming out of the mouth of a Lightning Dragon.
So you’ve stuck a boomerang onto a harpoon gun to make something that’s not going to be as effective as either of those would be individually?
My mother warned me about playing with those loose parts, and it led to my dark age.

On the other hand, we got Avatar: Way of Water. (also known as Dances with Wolves in space featuring blue cat people, Part 2!) And as far as Wrath of Kahn goes, we're lucky we got that fantastic film, as Star Trek: the Motion Picture is kind of a clunker. They could have just given up there and we would therefore miss out on the immortal line from Sar Trek V: "What does God want with a spaceship?"
@Murdoch17: We'd also have missed out on, "You don't ask the Almighty for his ID!"
For the Marvel (comics) nuts out there, we all know that https://brickset.com/parts/design-98480 is the REAL Weapon 2.

Nice. How did you achieve SG's ears? Is that a regular wig with a pin hole and an "official" part, or something more outside the box?
@ForestMenOfEndor:
There’s a dark-purple cat-ears accessory that came in at least one Friends set, and I hit it with black Sharpie, and used a pin vise to drill a hole in the top of the hair. I also used the pin vise to drill a hole in one squirrel’s neck, so I could add a pink bow to make Tippy-Toes. And since taking that photo, I’ve figured out how to add two more squirrels to the scooter, plus she’s got an army of 100 more squirrels who have taken down Thanos at our last two shows.
Besides Tippy, the other three squirrels on the scooter are Monkey Joe (red), Rocky (grey), and Oskar (black). Monkey Joe is obviously her first main squirrel, who died in a Great Lakes Avengers story (they’d promised one main character death in each story, and he was the first). Rocky is named after Rocket J Squirrel, friend of Bullwinkle Moose. And Oskar is named after a bit of backstory from the Thorapy episode of CBS’ Ghosts sitcom. Only Tippy and Oskar are present in the photo.
The scooter is based on the one that came with a Squirrel Girl action figure that was exclusive to Target a few years ago. The actual scooter is stock, but to mount Tippy’s basket, I had to use two Brickarms monopods (one stock, one shortened). I also have since replaced her first head with the S24 Newsboy’s.
BTW, unlike Starro the Conqueror, I haven’t printed out anything to hang on the edge of the layout and explain who she is. Now that I’ve added a squirrel army, she can’t really fly under the radar anymore, so a _lot_ of people have started asking, “What’s with all the squirrels?” However, at most shows I at least one person recognizes her. At least twice, a pre-teen girl has positively flipped out after noticing her. If they ever let Milana Vayntrub do a live-action feature film, I expect the recognition factor will skyrocket.
It's Breezin' time!
