I wonder what they changed to warrant the change in piece number, if anything.

Concerned about anyone whose poop looks like this…

By in Japan,

Only a true artist can produce a turd like this! That's not a skill that's easily acquired, it takes a stinking amount of practice....

By in United States,

We had a fecal artist who'd produce work in the bathroom on my floor of the building I work in... seriously not cool and nowhere near as pleasant as this twisty little plastic piece.

Indeed, whoever they are needs to stop subsisting entirely on Pepto-Bismol.

It is highly unlikely that the ID ever belonged to any other part. Some of these smaller, earlier IDs simply weren’t used/were meant for prototype parts that never saw the light of day.

Yeah, right. Everyone knows hot dogs are bigger than minifig arms.

@lordofthebricks614:
I wouldn’t imagine they were ever reserved for anything. If it hit the point where they would actually assign a number, that number would probably be retired afterwards. In theory, the numbers should have been assigned sequentially, leaving no gaps. In practice, we know part designers have skipped around, possibly to claim numbers that held special meaning for them. I could see snagging a birth date for your first part design, for instance.

Hmm, two paths to take with this one, will go with the appetizing one: I do like these as an alternative to the ice cream scoop type dessert piece that has been out forever
