Posted by Huwbot,
Today's random minifigure is frnd487 Friends Maya - Micro Doll, a Friends figure that came in a set that was released during 2022.
Our members collectively own a total of 894 of them. If you'd like to buy one you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $1.90.

I don't see how that's a minifigure, but if Huwbot says so, it must be true.
I'm getting vibes of the little girl from Monsters Inc. from this one
These little microdolls are pretty fun in the Disney books. I didn't realise they were used in regular friends sets.

There was a monster shaped like a little girl in that film?

No, as in Boo. I don't think I can unsee it now.

"Kitty!"
...now I can't unsee it either.
Microdolls have closed hands? That is new to me.
13 minifigures in and this one happens to be the first one that I own! A lot of people find the microdolls a bit odd at first glance but I personally think they work really well with the minidoll designs.

They are small enough to be grasped in a regular fig’s hands.
So, the day after I ask @Huw if microdolls are eligible for RMotD, this shows up. Guess that answers that! Amusingly enough, there's also a minidoll named Maya, but I don't think she's supposed to be an older version of this character, as the minidoll's skin is lighter. The minidoll Maya was actually in the RSotD a few days ago, 41015.
@ForestMenOfEndot: They can also hold a hair accessory or other part with a pin, as demonstrated in 2020 and 2021's Friends Advent Calendars.
@MeisterDad:
Microdoll hands are basically bars.

I don’t think you’ll get many arguments on that front. The idea that minidolls themselves work, however…
Mircodolls aren't 'my thing', but I do like the fact that their hair is minifig compatible; it really varies things up.
Some kid has taken a microdoll and added the orange feather piece to make it look as if her hands are on fire.
I'm pretty confident this has already been done.
@GBP_Chris:
I think somewhere floating around my condo, I’ve still got a Friends puppy whose head is on fire.
It's a mini-minidoll!
I've warmed up to Friends-builds and even, in some way, appreciate the minidolls. But this - these - the microdolls, I, I need to not be here.
Poor kid either has inflated head syndrome or body wasting syndrome.
@Astrobricks:
According to South Park, she’s got her collar cinched up way too tight.
I first encountered these a couple of weeks ago in a bulk buy, tossed them in the "Mega/Tycho/WTF" pile thinking they were not LEGO. Luckily I spotted them in the instructions when I figured out the bulk was mostly 41444 and pulled them back out.
