Ultra Agents had some great villain minifigures.

Fistful of Carolina Reapers?

I got 70160 because I wanted to collect something from the Ultra Agents theme, so now I'm looking for other villains, like AntiMatter. This one looks cool!

I disagree. Ultra Agents had some great vehicles, but the villains were pretty underwhelming and failed to tell a cohesive story. Most of them look like knock off superheroes, but without any particular purpose (DC says Hi). At least the criminals in Space Police III all played into a space crime syndicate.

At first glance I thought it was Nexo Knights.

I don't like the turn that Dante's Infearno went. It seems an unnecessary sequel. Even long dead European guys can fall to the draw of sequelitudes.

I thought he was from the first Nexo knights wave at first.

I think this the first minifig from RMotD that I own. Infearno had a really cool villain design, and the set he came in was probably one of the best of the theme. I had a lot of fun playing with it as a kid.

I got his set not only because he looked cool, but because the vehicle looked like something out of TRON. End Of Line.

@TheOtherMike:
TRON…or BladeTRONer? Livery may scream TRON, but the shape is vintage Spinner.

After buying every last Agents villain that I didn’t get from the handful of sets I bought (and seeding them throughout the volcano lair), I was of a kind to do the same with this theme. I think I bought this set (for much the same reason), I know I got 70160, and I bought a loose Terabyte minifig, but that’s probably it.

I didn’t get as many of the Ultra Agents bad guys as I did the other Agents theme with the crazy-haired supervillain that tied them all together, but I definitely got this guy. Look how crazy he is!

Honestly I was hoping for a “Return of Ogel” and maybe some or all of the guys and gals from Alpha Team. I just think they were great!

Ultra Agents was an underrated line, IMO.

The second series had more villains sporting the Antimatter purple swirl logo and doing things that seemed to support Antimatter's plans (like in the Drillex diamond Heist, he's stealing the diamond that is part of Antimatter's portal apparatus in another set). You really had to work to put the plot pieces together though.

We don’t talk ‘bout Infearno no no no…

I mostly collected city at the time, and one of my friends gave me this set a birthday gift. At first, I didn't like the set and it soon joined my pile of random parts, but now I look back and really regret not getting these sets since all the villains in these sets were amazing!

Man, I really wish I had picked up a couple of sets from this theme. The set this guy comes in in particular was on my wanted list. Might have to pick one up from bricklink sometime!

By in Canada,

Got 'im...Funny, I thought at the time he'd be a good base for a "Firestorm"; but TLG just went ahead and built one, using even better parts...

Mostly unrelated but I continue to be frustrated that the last wave of Ultra Agents, that included some of the best sets of the theme like that great boat, was limited to a North American release.

I'm not a minifigure collector. Not at all. I collect sets. But man am I glad that I'ved completed my ultra agents rogue gallery, most as loose figs I made a display stand for. I own the set he's from (which is how I own mine), and it's a great modern classic.

But seriously they look so diverse as a group. The 2014 ones were all natural disaster themed beside Terrabyte. The 2nd year revealed they're actually all professions turned evil. For example Infearno used to be a firefighter and Terrabyte a programmer. I love the concept and they all show so much personality.

@PurpleDave: Now that you mention it, it does look like a Spinner. I hadn't noticed before because I've only seen Blade Runner once (and I'm not sure If I'd seen it at all when 70162 came out) , but I've seen both TRON movies multiple times.

Take some of the stuff off the back, and that’s a great Atrocitus figure

Or on the Marvel-side, give him Toxikita's armour and he's a pretty good ringer for Nemesis, the Horseman.

No, let's not bring Nemesis' original super-awful name from the Age of Apocalypse into this. Let's all be better than that.

Interestingly, there actually was some cohesion in Ultra Agents! It was in the same univers as Galaxy Squad, with Solomon Blaze being a character in both themes. I’m not certain of the full story, but I do know that. Plus, two of the villains (Toxikita and Invizable) were later reused in Ninjago as the Elemental Masters of Poison and Light respectively. I’m not sure if that also implies a shared universe or simply a character reuse, but still an interesting fact.

Also, I wanted this set soooo bad. Never could afford it though.

You wound me, good sir and/or madam.

The link-breaks don't work in my favour. Hint: I don't mean the Alpha Flight-villain (I have no idea who that even is). If copying and pasting the entire link doesn't work, just look for THE MOST UNFORTUNATE NAME under 'Others'.

@Ridgeheart:
Well, that’s certainly a webpage. If it makes you feel better, I probably own some of the issues where he appeared. Just try not to think too hard about the fact that he made so little impact on me that I still don’t remember him.
