Apparently I own two of these. Because I bought 41665 to get the dark-purple cat ears so I could Sharpie them black and make Squirrel Girl:

Wow. I really need to update that photo. She’s got four squirrels riding on her scooter now, not just two.
Oh this piece. I remember seeing something about it in the release for the batman cowl. That inner curve makes it a little trickier to use as a standard bracket. Also, is the name wrong? Shouldn't it be Plate 2x3, W/ 1.5 Palte 2x2, Downwards?
So these were made especially for the Friends Cybe things, but they've also turned up in the 60s Batman Cowl and the giant Hogwarts' Express, which Isa much better fate than most specifically specialized pieces get.
What a weird, obscure piece.

If I were to take an educated guess, not having any myself, I'd say that the 2x2 part is the upper portion that can be placed onto something, with 1.5 of a plate hanging over the end, and another 2x2 part going vertical.
Ended up getting quite a few of these through 41665 as I've been on a several year long mission to collect every single unique LEGO cat. How could you say no to those adorable Friends kittens?
I'm not too far away from getting them all, just wish 41404 wasn't so hard to find during lockdown, as those ones are surprisingly rare now!
I imagine the arch helps its strength, but would dramatically limit its usefulness.
The more I think about this piece, the more it reminds me of just a wider arch piece with just a wider arch, and cut in half. We all know how useful arches are!

I have two of that cube. Possibly the only friends cube I got.
@PurpleDave: as the resident car builder, how useful would you consider this part in that genre?
I didn't realize this piece existed, let alone that I have several of them.
That gentle curve does make it handy if you want to rest part 2515 upside-down. In which case, there's a perfect space in that 2515 for a trans-neon green 44375a. You know, if you're looking to make a vat of acid. You don't have to, I'm just saying that you can.
@PurpleDave: that is a respectable Squirrel Girl, has she taken out Lego Thanos yet?
Seeing the colours, I was surprised to have any, but then Kapow! 13 black ones. Holy Downward Platitude!
The usual bracket works for me, but I can see the top of the Friends cubes only have limited number of studs so a longer bracket was needed to curve around the edge and has now found other uses so should last longer than the one-off discontinued cubes.
@NotProfessorWhymzi:
Well, I made a 6-wide Mater that would fit in with World City vehicles, and clocks in at 378pcs, so I don’t think I’d ever want to use anything this chunky unless I was specifically looking to use that arch as a design detail.
@Ridgeheart:
Absolutely. As soon as I got my hands on the new Thanos mech, I had him swarmed with an army of 100 red and grey squirrels. I still need to get my hands on 50 black squirrels.

Many of them have literally no appeal to me (to be clear, a friends fan) but I really like the one with the red haired girl in blue/red 3d movie glasses

It comes in black in the class TV series Batman cowl from 2021. No need for sharpie-induced blasphemy. ;-)

You mean this part that only comes in dark-purple? It also only comes in Friends sets. I needed it for Squirrel Girl's squirrel ears.
