  • 71038 LEGO Minifigures - Disney 100 Series
  • 42156 PEUGEOT 9X8 24H Le Mans Hybrid Hypercar

By in United Kingdom,

Except in Australia, where 71038 inexplicably, like the last few CMF series, doesn’t come out for another month.

Built 76256 yesterday and was impressed mainly at the complete lack of stickers - all prints!

It's snapped a few times for me. I imagine it sounding like Reddish Brown parts.

US site is a big mess. Nothing' working. 23 minutes in :)))

Calling this stuff "available" is a bit of a stretch at the moment, considering the state of the US website. XD

Absolute joke. Never seen it this bad before. They are testing to see who is willing to stay on for 2 hours to get an order to go through

By in Greenland,

Wrong headline. Nothing is available now… 29 minutes in and the site just will not respond.

Thanks Lego, for making the decision for me, I guess. I was on the fence, but now I'll just keep my money.

That’s rough, makes me almost glad that I haven’t been able to even load the home page.

By in United States,

You'd think that with all those price increases last year, Lego could afford some decent website infrastructure.

I know right. Why are they more commonly broken than any other color :P

By in United States,

Launch new Disney minifigs and Star Wars Day all at the same time? What could possibly go wrong?

Gravatar
By in United States,

It was this way when they launched Indiana Jones, too. None of the sets would show up.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Not sure if this is anecdotal but I changed the language on mobile and the website immediately loaded (in English though which was weird)

That only lasted a few minutes. We're pushing an hour now and I just have the waits in the queue crash into errors, repeat.

By in United States,

I've heard tales of these epic LEGO website product launch failures over the years.
This is my first time experiencing one!
I'm in the site but my account buttons are missing! Completely useless!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Still having issues with US site and all of my Wishlists are now gone.

Gravatar
By in United States,

YEah, I'm in now, but all my account info is missing and you can't access any links.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Glad I wasn't going to try to buy anything tonight. I got in earlier but one of the special vouchers for the Star Wars sets wasn't showing. Good thing it wasn't a set I was interested in. I already have two of the others and paid way less for them than the deals with the vouchers.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Apparently, I got an order in. Was stuck on checkout processing, then it crashed. Never got confirmation on the site, but just received an email that they got my order. What a nightmare!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Lego.com is a major cluster f*** tonight.
Been trying to order for over an hour with multiple errors, losing items in my cart, and not being able to check out.
The brick and mortars open in like 10 hours, maybe I’ll just get in line now?

By in United States,

Can't wait to not be able to find those CMFs for weeks haha.

Last foil pack series, folks. Feel em while you can

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Is this the last CMF series in bags before the move to boxes?

Gravatar
By in United States,

And of course we won't get a word of explanation from LEGO.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Been trying for an hour and a half at lego.com from Canada. Nothing is working. The website is completely tanked. I was able to get a glimpse of the SSD Executor set and it already showed backordered. WTH??

Yeah, I've seen it showing as backorder too...I can't even get to my shopping cart...how the heck is it sold out haha

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Got the Razorcrest /w discount voucher and the XWing UCS order through. But it was a tough fight with the Euro site. Took me 90 minutes of patiently refreshing and trying to smartly navigate the site….

By in United Kingdom,

Gone for 42156 but from Argos rather than Lego.
Collecting it in a couple of hours, plus 5% cashback on my payment card.

If lego site is bad today, I dread to think how it'll react when the Star Wars stuff goes live in a few days.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Got my order confirmed!

Same! Presumably, people went to bed. I'm pretty simple in my thought processes, but that's literally the only reason it's working in my mind.

That sounds good. Is it an Amex Platinum?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Note to self: If you see a set you want sitting on the shelf at Walmart three days before its release *cough executor cough* , buy it. Don’t wait to get it on lego.com for the points. How silly of me to think that LEGO would have a new set available to buy on release day.

Halifax. I had a cashback reward for Argos expiring 6th May. So this worked out well. I notice Argos are also on airtime rewards, so a chance my purchase will track there too.

Yeah, this is why I just buy complete sealed boxes in the first place.

Something unexpected must have happened. The site is always a little rough on the first of the month, but never like this.

I picked up six of them today from the LEGO store in Shepherd’s Bush. The staff had already identified them.

It’s a real shame that that won’t be possible from the next series onwards. I will have to resort to the secondary market which pleases me not at all. Why can’t LEGO include indentifiers such as the barcodes of Series 1 and 2 or the bumps after that? Would be cool if the boxes indicated the contents in Braille. It would encourage sighted people such as myself to learn Braille - which is good thing and would reinforce LEGO’s commitment to the visually impaired (yes, I know LEGO did Braille bricks before).

Because that kind of defeats (and has defeated) the point of blind-bagging these collectible figures, and would (as it has before) leave the shelves stocked with the runts of the litter, the ones nobody wants.

I mean, you could argue that we could just make all of these CMFs into polybags (hey, I'm down), but some people like the thrill of the chase, and some people like making large amounts of money on other peoples' thrills (hey there, The Lego Group. Everything okay on your end?).

I don't want other people to vigorously finger my minifigures, because most people are irresponsible disease-vectors. I mean, they can be nice disease-vectors, kind disease-vectors, good-looking disease-vectors, but by and large, still kind of gross. Let me just skip the thrill and just buy the series in its entirety if I like it enough.

That's what we've heard. Next up should be another Marvel series in September.

@TheMikeStrikesBack:
I actually took a picture of one at Walmart to send to my LUG. But it was wrapped in one of those razor wire anti-theft contraptions that they cinch up so tight that it leaves dents in the edges. Also, I'm not in a hurry for the SSD. With SW, I almost never buy them on launch day (the deferred SDCC/SWC sets being an obvious exception). Today, I was all about buying last year's vignettes, Luke's helmet, and the Snowtrooper battle pack. I can preload that stuff in my cart, or call and reserve it at the local store, and there's less chance it'll sell out in a flash while I'm trying to get my cart to the finish line. Sooooooo much less stressful that way.
