Hogwarts Express is becoming the next X-Wing Fighter, in the frequency of redesigns.

That Lee Jordan fig kinda looks like he has Bilbo's face from 5002130

Fine by me! I would like to get one so I can modify it into a pretty standard train.

By in Finland,

There are now so many Hogwarts Expresses that it's impossible to miss the train...

Gravatar
By in United States,

I hope this Hogwarts Express can be motorized.
Baby polar bears, too cute!

Except in Germany, where the trains miss you!

Another Hogwarts Express!?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Those have to be the shortest (height wise) coaches I've ever seen in modern Lego. They look to be about a brick shorter than the older 2018 one. These cars are four bricks and a tile of headroom, while the old ones were five and a plate (I think?) The new one is going to look puny next to every other train in the yard...

By in Austria,

All I'm interested is Ninjago Markets.

Gravatar
By in Spain,

Well, the vagons look awful but this time includes some railroads…the station, at first look, meh…

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Including some track the Hogwarts Express should display better than the current 75955, although maybe it's the render but the carriages appear a bit smaller to me. Motorizing should be possible, with the battery box in a higher walled tender, although to fit a motor to drive the large wheels as in the Emerald Night Train motorization it will be difficult not to increase the size of the boiler and lose the sleek smooth look.

By in United States,

I haven't really invested into City much since my LEGO return, but this summer wave is really making me rethink that.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Ugh. What's the market for a Hogwarts express by itself? We already have the last one and I built a custom King's Cross MOC to hold it. I wouldn't mind having an extra car (although it doesn't match the one in 75955, so I'd have to do some modding), but I'm content with the last train otherwise.

Argh argh argh.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'd rather have a larger, standalone Hogsmeade Station, maybe with the gates to Hogwarts to go with it.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Hmm, That Hogwarts Express set is ripe for modding for a winter village, and with a little tweaking the coaches could be turned into mail coaches.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I think five years is plenty of time between playscale versions of the Hogwarts Express. I like it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I love City-scale trains, and while I'd prefer an unlicensed steam train I'm not gonna complain about another Hogwarts express - buying two and actually will have a decent number of coaches, plus lots of spare pieces for more train MOCs!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Why are some people so mad about another Hogwarts Express being made? It's a pretty prominent location in the films, and even though 75955 only retired a few months ago, it was released in 2018. And you can't claim that they just released 76405 last year so another one isn't needed, because that set is so out of the price range for most people who would be buying this new Hogwarts Express, that it doesn't even matter.

Gravatar
By in Norway,

It's been six years since the last minifig scale one was released, and while it's not that long since it retired, I don't think that's a problem. There should always be a playscale Hogwarts Express on the market - just like there should always be an X-Wing.

By in Canada,

I'm not even a harry potter fan, but that is a well-designed train set! You get the train with 2 cars (God bless the lord) some train track, and a station! This is a great little package! I actually like how the train is a bit small and compact - it helps keep the price down. I don't mind that the cars are shorter, it gives the illusion that they are longer. I may actually get this set... probably not, but maybe. If there was an official way to motorize it, I would be really happy.

Ah ha! I was wondering where the Polar bears had gone. Pretty essential to the arctic range.

I’m all in on arctic then. I love boats, underwater, snow and heavy vehicles stuff, this combines em all. No dinosaurs this time means there’s a great selection of animals too.

Yes cos new fans need it. So they let key sets rest and do new version so it’s often on shelves.

Seasoned fans dont need to buy them all. Entirely your choice.

Gravatar
By in United States,

POLAR BEAR CUBS AAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I need them!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Although they are not as accurate to the "real thing," I prefer the black roofed coaches from 75955. Dark stone grey would actually be the closest match, I think. Either way, this version is _just_ different enough from 75955 to make me question its value as an "add-on pack" for that set. Obviously, that's not what LEGO intended to produce, but for those of us who own the earlier version, it's the most relevant use for a remake. I do agree that it makes sense for some iteration of the HE to be on the shelves at all times.

Wow... Hogwarts Express coaches are getting small...
Only 16 studs long now!

was thinking the same thing maybe

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I do like the Hogwarts Express although, as with the last version, it really needs a 2nd copy to add a bit of length to the stubby engine and coaches, and to add an extra coach. And to add a back to the station!

The Arctic theme looks good too but, at the moment, I prefer the original range so will see if any future releases tempt me.

@Murdoch17:
A member of my LUG has been making ultra-tiny versions of regular LEGO trains, like a Santa Fe where all the cars are at most 16 studs long, after seeing someone else’s design online. So, no, there are a few trains out there that’ll make this one feel swole.

@Ridgeheart:
Hulkbuster and Landspeeder, maybe, but Disney reportedly hates WB these days, so no way The Mouse lets that third one in.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The Arctic Mobile Laboratory is the 6520 remake we've been waiting for!

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

Here comes my Hagrid! ... and polar bears!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Last time there was an Arctic subtheme I was busy collecting other themes. This time I'll probably be getting most of these. Planning on getting the Hogwarts express because it's got Hogsmeade Station & two coaches although they seem awfully small. I'll probably end up Combining this one with the last version to make something more appealing. Hoping they include directions for motorizing it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

An improvement for the Hogwarts Express. I am interested in seeing how modders take to this new set.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wonder why 60378's trailer is set so high, seems like it might be prone to toppling in the high Arctic winds, especially as it's pretty slab-sided. Doesn't mean I don't want it, but if I get it, I might try to modify it to be lower to the ground.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Railway carriages 16 studs long, 4 bricks high and bereft of doors? 123 and 137-2 say hello.

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

And another one.

Gravatar
By in France,

The new Hogwarts Express is instantly the best one simply because it's the only one that includes more than a single carriage

Gravatar
By in Turkey,

harry potter 8 minifigure. ohm..!
amazing.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Too bad the 6x28 carriage bases and proper train windows aren’t back in production. Short 16-length carriages with single wheel-set trolleys look horrible and will never stop looking horrible.

I have the first (I think) remake 60035. But, I don't have baby polar bears!

The Express looks good. But, I splurged on 3 extra cars and motorized the 2010 version 4841. So, these new editions are extraneous. However, it's nice that they're finally providing more than one car. The Hogsmeade Station, Lee Jordan, and Harry's keepsake picture album all look nice.

Gravatar
By in United States,

For what it is, the Express looks decent. I will agree the size doesn't work in its favor this time, but if I didn't have a version of it, I would consider getting it. It looks like most of the figures are rehashes basically, so I don't necessarily need it either way, since I like the 2018 version more for size. But this has potential.

And baby polar bears!! Unfortunately I bought a whole bunch of polar bears last year thinking it would be retired for a long time, but I guess good they are bringing it back (and hope they release new brown bears...I just bought a stupid expensive black bear since I've been wanting one for so long).

Gravatar
By in Jersey,

The new Hogwarts Express is a big improvement over 75955, especially the front end which was far too chunky in the 2018 version and had a terrible atttempt at the funnel.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

This Hogwarts Express might be my first train for a LEGO city build.

The only concern I have is that the combination of the Arctic and Deepsea Explorers sub-themes has resulted in an entirely new color scheme and logo, which will clash with the vehicles and logos from the previous Arctic and Deepsea Explorer sets. However, the inclusion of so many new animal molds (seals, polar bear cubs, big sea turtle, orca, etc.) makes up for this.
