This family of beams which also has 64451/28978 seems to borrow the aesthetic of a much older piece, 30397, which never was even produced concurrently, being retired years before the two new similar "linkage beams" were introduced.
Versatile vehicle part, all the way from Creator 3-1s to expensive Technic cars.
Used in large number (8x) in the chassis of recent Material Handler 42144 to created a stiff and wll linked framework around the supports.
Nobody else sees it? Not even after yesterday?
