Don’t talk about his sister like that!
That's a really unappetising looking slice of pizza
Ok, we are ready for 3-4-5 triangles now:
* we have this this part and its smaller friend 24307
* and the the 2x3 wedged plate (43722)
But how about 13-12-5, the next bigger primitive pythagorean triangle?
* we need a 2x5 wedged plate (78444 is 2x6 unfortunately)
* and this part in 2x3 (or a 3x3 wedged plate like 43722)
Here's a MOC that shows how useful these are: rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-112148

Triangle Man hates Person Man
In this case, don't eat your wedgies!
The non-uniform color of this part perfectly represents the declining quality of Lego bricks in recent years.

Is this sarcasm? If not: it's a render and represents silver.

She is called Scalene, sister of Marlene.
Made with triangular almonds, from triangular trees, and triangular honey, from triangular bees.
Imperial star destroyer micro build.

Yes, i thought it was obvious :-)
But: Color consistency is bad nowadays and Lego bricks have more and more visible gate marks form injection moulding, just like Chinese knock-offs a few years ago, but some of them are actually better than the original today. And still Lego increases prices like it would be the premium product in this market.

You can't be too sure on the internet ;-)
Just recently sorted through a large tub of bley parts; it was like parts from three different companies - but no, they all were LEGO branded =/
@legonard : I have a pic (don't remember where I got it from) where someone did something similar with this piece, after filling in the gap with a 1x1 brick: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=6044 T=C

That's why I generally append a fake HTML tag: /sarcasm.
I see this piece come in handy a lot for tails, texture, style, all sorts of stuff. I find is decently useful.
Also, all the triangle-talk reminds me of one of my favorite lines of dialog from "The Shawshank Redemption":
Andy Dufresne : How can you be so obtuse?
