This don't look like no Barrel! And It don't have no weapons in it neither!

WOW...That's hard on the eyes...:)
Seriously (or a facsimile), this look like it be handy in a Sinestro build.
Edit: Whoops...my 'eyes' register it as yellow, though Lego claim it's green...weird...

For a second I thought that was trans-yellow and I got excited, but then I saw that it's actually translucent fluorescent green, and now I'm just angry.

Shhh it’s made by space bees.

Didn't expect to have any of these, but I hadn't banked on anyone being tooled up at an ice festival!

Mmmmmmmm, What a perfect colour.

And an okay part. Haven't found a use for it where I was all "Man, that was the perfect part!"

A bunch in black are a good option if you want a boat mast that is three studs wide. I've been slowly gathering a bunch so I can do such a thing for one of my boats.

You realize it's trans-fluorescent green, not trans-neon green, right? But I guess we'll have to take what we can get since the latter isn't being produced anymore.

Good thing for me that trans-fluorescent green is Lego's official name for trans neon Green.

By in Australia,

Look's like this part is a left over from Constraction figures. Earliest use. I can see is in 4529-1 Iron Man, with the other design id for this part.

@TheOtherMike:
And that was internally known as “trans fluorescent orange”. And what we know as trans-medium-blue was also known internally as “trans fluorescent blue”. That one slipped past a lot of AFOLs because it’s a greyish-blue under normal light, and pretty weak and inconsistent under UV. The best colors for UV reactions are any shade of GitD, trans-bright-green, and rare colors like trans-fluorescent-yellow or trans-fluorescent-red. Some colors are weird, like how regular red glows regular red under UV, or certain colors may or may not glow entirely dependent on which batch of plastic they came from. Prints can be fun, too. I think it was the first Jawa and the first Clone Wars R2-D2 that each have eyes that glow with UV, and there’s a black firefighter jacket with metallic silver and yellow safety stripes where the yellow stripes glow under UV. The weirdest thing I’ve ever seen is red 1x2 bricks that glow marbled under UV, but that was someone else’s collection, unfortunately. If an AFOL has a few spare dollars, I highly recommend buying a UV flashlight and checking out your collection with it. If you really want to get fancy about it, I’ve actually bought a bigger UV LED flashlight online, which has 100 LEDs (most of the ones I’ve found in stores have either one or seven).

It looks like a minigun barrel IMO

Or the gun on the Sunset Overdrive cover art
