Is this the first Dimension minifigure? Good job Unikitty if so. I have a few Unikitty's, and this is one of them.

This became an unexpectedly fun bit of whimsy from Lego. Really expounded the toy nature of the basic bricks.

Fun fact: in Lego dimensions, if you put unikitty and Owen Grady in the same party, unikitty will state that Owen sounds like emmet, but he isn’t “the special”, a reference to how both are played by “this is exactly what Mario sounds like” himself, Chris Pratt

I always remember the head falling off all the time when I had it. Just a pile of bricks. Not really a minifigure.

Likewise, if Emmet and Owen Grady are in the same party, the conversation goes like this:

"Haven't I met you somewhere?"

"Depends, did you work at the park?"

Lego Dimensions was great! Ghostbusters, Doctor Who, Back to the Future, Scooby Doo, The Lego Movie, Lord of the Rings and much more all in one place! The only character missing that they could have done was Lord Vortech. Apparently he was planned but never released, but I loved his design, with the staff, helmet, cape and transparent parts.

Nevertheless, Lego Dimensions was awesome and would highly recommend (if you can get your hands on it)

Thing I liked the most about Lego Dimensions? The fact that "the toy" was A TOY even when the game wasn't active. 'Skylanders', Disney's 'Infinity', and so on...STATUES...more 'collectible' than 'toy'.

Two biggest things I wanted/wished for for the game before it folded: A PC release (physical), and that last phase/set of characters being released...

Ah, Unikitty before she had neck surgery.

@Lemerbrix06: Sort of a shame Star-Lord never ended up in Dimensions, then.

@Reventon: The post-neck-surgery version was in the CMF series for TLM2.

@ozbrickcreator: I had Dimensions, before someone stole most of my video game collection out of storage after my stroke. Joke's on them, though, they only got the disk, not the peripherals, so not only is that not much good to them, but I've still got all the cool minifigs (I also got several packs) and those neat shields that were in the starter pack! I actually got 71204 before I bought the game (or even had an XBox to play it on), because I found it on a really good clearance and have been a Whovian for a while. I regret not getting 71238 as well. There are a few other Dimensions packs on my Wanted list, as well. I also wish the line had continued long enough for the planned Doctor Who pack with Missy to be released.

They were going to do one with Missy! I have 3 of 71238 I really needed more for a decent cyberman army though.

TLBM Batgirl from the TLBM Story Pack.

@Reventon:
They mostly fixed this later on. Instead of a 1x3 plate and a 1x1 round plate, you got the Unichinny tile (inverted 1x3 tile w/ bar hole in the center) and a nipple tile. The bar connection made that point pretty sturdy, and the wider base on the nipple tile gave it better clutch on the stud. Of course, any old-style chin plates, you were kinda stuck with if they had print or used rare colors, but if it was unprinted in the standard color scheme, swap away.

I know that one, i was just looking for a unikitty based fact from Lego dimensions, there’s so many funny interactions!

@StyleCounselor:
Regarding yesterday, I _did_ watch the ST. All three of them. In the theater. That’s the problem. I wanted to throw my drink at the screen before Darth Whingy finished walking down the ramp of his shuttle in the first one, and they got exponentially worse from there. Solo is the only current Disney film I would consider rewatching. Even Rogue One got eye-rollingly predictable in the ultimate fate of all the main characters.

While the flag wasn’t very widely recognized in 2014, Unikitty for sure has the trans flag color palette.

Other rumoured sets included a Capcom-licensed "Mega Man"-set. Losing out on that was like a Metal Blade to the face.

Man, those would've been great!

At least we did get the A-Team, Gremlins, Goonies, Beetlejuice, E.T., Nightrider, Sonic, Powerpuff Girls, Teen Titans, and Adventure Time.

I put my David Hasselhoff in the Benatar so that Peter can finally have some quality time with his real Dad!

Strange they did all these TV and movie mini-figs that I was hoping would appear in the next collector series as I had no interest in dimensions but it never happened.

Ugh, sorry to learn of your theft loss (and your stroke); that’s most unfortunate. I hope you can get the stuff back.

I, too, had a whole bunch of the add-on packs (most of them, in fact) before having a Starter Pack, and I had three Starter Packs for different systems (plus all 62 add-on packs - 3 Story, 10 Level, 9 Team, 38 Fun, and 2 Promo, plus duplicates) before having a system I could actually play it on. I finished collecting the packs in mid-2018, toward the end of the game’s availability, and finally got a PS4 in November 2019.

I’m sorry the game didn’t prosper as hoped; it’s really pretty great as is, and I know there were fantastic additions planned for Year 3. At the same time, it’s probably just as well for me personally that it didn’t have even more packs to chase down. I’m kind of amazed I was actually able to collect it so fully, despite limited financial resources (and not even having the console to play it on until more than a year after getting my last pack for it). But it’s a fun game with lots of cool stuff in it, and I didn’t want to miss out on it.

I’m savoring the game. I finished the core game story a good while ago (it’s the first thing I ever got the Platinum trophy for), but I still have yet to even open more than half the packs, and am still discovering and exploring the various add-on Levels and Adventure Worlds and whatnot. I will eventually play through the whole story campaign again to get all the secrets and minikits and whatnot that I missed the first time around.

I did get 71238 myself - multiples, in fact - but regret not getting more. I remember being at a Target when it and a lot of the other Year 1 packs were steeply clearanced, and they had six of them for just a few dollars each, but I was with family members in a hurry and wasn’t able to buy them all. I went back the very next day, and of course some other Whovian had scooped them all up. Ah, well.

Not really, at least not in the movies. I'm pretty sure it's a portmonteau of Unicorn and Kitty. In the Cartoon Network TV show (and 2018 sets) she has a little brother named Puppycorn. Although he's a dog he also features a unicorn horn.

- no frowny faces
- no bushy mustaches
- no negativity of any kind
- there is also no consistency!

Oh man, I miss Lego Dimensions. I mean, I know it still exists (my kids and I play it fairly regularly) but I miss getting new characters/levels for it.

I think it's just Unicorn + Kitty. While that would more literally translate to "one-cat" keep in mind that she was seemingly canonically created and named by a nine year old (at least when the first film came out, the show may complicate things in-universe)

I'll never really grasp the Lego classification of a Minifigure either. While Unikitty a least has some unique printed brick there are also "Figures" like the Mouse Droid.
I was always wishing that if they classifiy such things as (Mini)figures that they did classify creatures and animals as Minifigures too.

I mean come on, why is Pluto from 10777 not a Minifigure too? That's not even a generic animal but a legit Disney Character.

I've long suspected that Pluto is really just another humanoid canine like Goofy, and that going around naked and on all-fours is simply what he's about. And really, who are we to judge his lifestyle-choices? He's not harming anyone.

But if that is the case, we really ought to classify him as a minifig, though.

By in Canada,

Oh, I forgot one other thing I like about 'Dimensions': Once you bought 'the platform' (the device to lace the figs and such on to interact with the game), that was it...Infinity had it where when series 2 (Marvel if I remember) came out, a new interface had to be bought...and when they put out series 3 (Star Wars)...nobody was amused (as guess what: another interface). And Skylanders was equally as bad...It's like TLG learn from their competition of what NOT to do. The game was really a victim of timing, in that it was, what, the fourth type game coming out around that time.
