I keep going back and forth with my opinion on this part
I dunno, looks kinda evil…
If you want to know how well-versed I am in the developments of LEGO Technic, I was surprised to learn just now that LEGO had made a non-toothed version for this part.
It's 25 years old.
Prefer a cigar.
I thought that "Toggel" might be Danish for "Toggle," but according to Google Translate, that would "Skift," so I guess it's just a misspelling.
These but with teeth were so useful back in the day. But I get why we now have single-piece numbered/angle connectors. Many of those old tooth versions would break on the axel end. 8855 had the old toothed ones in the landing gear assembly and the stresses put on them ended up breaking them.
@ra226: One reason I didn't build the fly model in 8456 very often. The weight of a model that included a nine-volt battery was not kind to the old toothed version, being used to set the angle of the legs as they were. The helicopter wasn't too bad, because its landing gear used shorter legs.

Ogel disguised his name.
Well that is a variety of sets that it has come in. UCS Falcon, multiple Technic sets, Rollercoaster, and even Ninjago and hidden side sets. Quite the range.
Most recent set I got this piece in is 75312 boba fett’s starship
I am shaking my head at myself for having build several of the sets that use this part and failing to recognise it. Hmph.

I'm right there with you. I would swear I've never seen it. But, BS says I'm wrong.
Similarly as a kid the toothed version was literally broken by the stress placed on it by the weight of 8844. Nowadays the non-toothed version usually appears around the edge of windscreens from 8070 to 42083 where an non-standard angle is required. Find useful as a connector to a thin beam where space is limited but on Bricklink can be around 10x the price of a standard angled connector.
Got some of these in 8455 last year: my first time seeing them used in context after having had a few of them before from mixed lots and not knowing what their purpose was. Got the set from a friend whose son no longer wanted it, so that I could sell it on eBay and it would go to a good home. (Haven't got around to doing that part yet, but I'm going to eventually.)
That said, neither this piece nor any of its alternate versions show up in Brickset's inventory for that set, so I was very confused for a moment until I checked Bricklink and got confirmation!
The og version with teeth was very satisfying to combine together. These lil teeth clutchet well together!
