40411 Creative Fun 12-in-1 was released in 2020 and a similarly-titled successor, 40593 Fun Creativity 12-in-1, has been revealed on LEGO.com today.

This 279-piece set will surely be available as a gift-with-purchase in the near future, although precisely when it will be released and the spend threshold are currently unknown.

We will publish further information when we have it, but for now you can view box images below, showing a variety of summer-themed models.

By in Canada,

Seeing LEGO do so many tiny 1x1s in sets these days reminds me of when KFC cut up some of the larger chicken parts to make two pieces out of them, so they can in a technical sense sell you the same ‘number’ of pieces but in reality sell you fewer.

It’s free and micro-builds are great, so not complaining about that.

Seems nice, though not enough to drive a purchase in itself. I'll be keenly interested to know which models can be built simultaneously.

By in Slovakia,

That's the kind of GWP I'd like to see more often. Some time to sink into it mucking around with alternate builds, break it down for a parts pack later on

By in United Kingdom,

A decent enough GWP. If it's on its own, then maybe. If it's bundled with a repeat of the Flower Pot as rumoured, then probably. If it's a threesome with the elusive Houses of the World 3, then definitely.

Remember when we all thought @Huw 's post about Twitter vs Threads got heated?

KFC hot wings are better than everything you love.

(GWP looks good)

By in Sweden,

Great little parts pack. I hope it coincides to when I'll be making purchases!

As for KFC, be careful about how you compare it. They have WILDLY different stuff depending on the countries. In Canada, their typical chicken pieces (breasts, thighs and wings with spicy fried skin) with gravy are quite good. In the US, they tend to make mashed potatoes instead but the chicken is very similar. In France, they don't have the chicken pieces nor the gravy, just some international sauces and chicken fingers and chicken nuggets, so it's hard to even see why they went for the license without their traditional items. Can't say for Ireland and the UK, but yeah, quite a lot of difference between places.

How did KFC have a giant media campaign around "we know are fries are terrible so are changing them"... but the fries are just as disgusting as ever!

How is it possible to bugger up deep frying bits of potato so badly????

Yet another thread where people are talking about something other than the subject of the article the thread is attached to. At least most of the time it's about something else Lego-related, but here... Anyway, getting back to the set:

Yeah, I keep meaning to try to see what I can do with 40411's pieces. And I might pass this one up, considering I just spent more than a hundred bucks for the VIP days. Or maybe I'll pull the trigger on 10320.

Neat. Reminds me of that Advent Calendar GWP from a while back

I see what you did there @TheOtherMike , very subtle, nice.

40222-1 is similar too, and I love it. I'm sure I have another similar set too, but I can't remember it. Any ideas?

40253 is another Christmas Build up set. I have that one, and actually went to the trouble of getting the pieces so that I could make up each build and have a whole advent calendar. I should get that out for this year.

Plus it goes to show that apparently the quality (or lack thereof) of KFC foods in various countries is more interesting a subject to several users than this set.
As for KFC, here in Germany the quality is quite decent imho and it's actually the only fast food chain I still visit from time to time.

As for the set, it's certainly charming, but whether I will want it or not is going to depend on the suggested threshold.

One of the images showed all 12 sets built and displayed on a shelf. That certainly implies all 12 can be built at the same time. I don't think I have seen real life photos of the same set but with different build before. But I will wait for a review for definitive evidence.

By in United States,

So this 12-in-1 is Lego's equivalent of KFC's 12 piece bucket? This should have come in a striped cardboard bucket.

Fun Fact: I've visited 4 foreign countries in my life. I've randomly ended up at KFC in 3 of them. When I return to visit Ireland again, I might need to find a KFC to correct the oversight.
(I'm really not a big fan of KFC...but on trips to Grand Cayman, Japan, and Canada it ended up being a case of "I'm hungry. What's nearby and quick?")

Summer themed, huh? Okay, campfire with toasted marshmallows, sure. Lion...that's on fire? Depends on how hot it gets. Biplane? I guess it could be an airshow. Merry-go-round? I have seen one that operates even during December. Lighthouse? Not specifically summer, but the sailboat probably is. Castle? Is it a _sand_ castle? Koala? Summer is winter, down under, isn't it? Crab? Found at beaches, so we really only encounter them in the summer, but they do exist all year. Sailboat? I think we covered that one before. Coral reef? Same as the crab, but underwaterer. Creamsicle? I wouldn't eat one of those at any time of the year. And getting back to the top, what most resembles a skilift to me. Decidedly winter. I do like the coral reef, though.

@Shadowcloner:
If past experience with the other Many-in-1 sets is any indication, it may come down to stuff like which elements you get extras of. There will probably be very few instances of 2+ models that can be built at the same time using only the official contents of the set, but if you can throw in the spares, that may open up a few more, or allow you to expand the ones you already have.

@ComfySofa:
Blech. I have taste buds that actually work, and see no reason to punish them with eternal hellfire.

@Brainslugged:
McD's uses a blend of three different potatos, pureed and reconstituted into french fry shape. Those are the most popular fries around, so it would appear that using cut strips of whole potato is where most recipes veer into the ditch.

@gunther_schnitzel and @Murdoch17: HEY, Hey, hey now...yes KFC isn't "what it use to be" (in order preference [chicken edition:)]: Popeyes, Mary Brown's, Chesters [if you can find it], KFC, 7-Eleven...yes, if you can find it AND the staff is capable...)...anthough I haven't found/eaten at a 'Churches' yet (closes ones to me are in Vancouver or Calgary), nor a 'Jollibee's'...and DON'T get me started on Chick-fil-a (it's NOT chicken, it's a sandwich...)

You need the hellfire so you can stomach the fries...

Of course! Thanks, bud, I can't believe I forgot that one :D Good idea, I can probably rustle up enough parts to build them all simultaneously too now.

Why? We’ve got Steak N Shake where I live. Fries are cooked to order, and awesome. Not nearly as awesome as when you could order Parmesan/herb fries before the pandemic, but still pretty awesome.

Says on box 'Pictured models cannot be built simultaneously'

But does at least say in description 'The crab and the ice-cream models can be built at the same time'

For sure. I voted against a lot of the Bricklink sets that used too many tiny pieces (and especially tiles, not always 1x1) for no good reason. Sure, it might add some small amount of visual appeal, but there's nothing wrong with exposed studs for surfaces. And then there were sets that used a bunch of plates in a row when bricks would have worked just as well. Again, visual interest to do here and there and break up the "flat all" sure. But this one model there did it EVERYWHERE.

There was a short time when KFC had these twice fried fries or whatever they were. Was before they did their potato wedges. I liked those fries. Was never a fan of the wedges.

And Chick-Fil-A has nuggets! They are delicious. Church's has a decent biscuit, nothing like Popeye's though. While I've been in Washington and gone back to Colorado to visit, tried Raising Cane's (wasn't impressed). And speaking of Washington, I don't care what Oprah says, Ezell's/Heaven Scent is alright. I'd rather have Popeye's. But... they do have Faygo. Not like Faygo is that popular out here.

Oh... the set. Yay, pieces!

I love their grilled chicken nuggets. Haven't tried the fried ones, because lots of restaurants have those. But I've never encountered grilled nuggets anywhere else.
