Random minifig of the day: njo842
Posted by Huwbot,
Today's random minifigure is njo842 Cyrus Borg, a NINJAGO figure that came in one set, 71799 NINJAGO City Markets, released during 2023.
Our members collectively own a total of 1,219 of them. If you'd like to buy one you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $11.50.

Well, he's certainly a minifig. Who apparently thinks he's Michael Jackson.
Yes, Cyrus Borg! I still think it is ridiculous that it took them 9 years to release a regular version of him. While I would be annoyed that he is only exclusive to Ninjago Markets, his parts will probably reappear in plenty of regular sets seeing as how versatile they are. They'll probably ditch the mismatched hands, but that's an easy fix.
I love this one! Looks a bit generic, but pretty accurate. Like a modernised version of the original 2013 character from Rebooted.
I always like when they're is a new suit torso piece so I can add it to my suit collection!
@PurpleDave I thought MJ had a white glove on the left hand, but I'm too lazy to look it up. Or does this character hold out babies over railings or something?
We are Borg.
Resistance is futile.
Well...not a 'bad figure', but not my "Cyborg"...:

Vic's original look's the best; less...'ridiculous' than his current one(s)...:)
Like Dr Henry Wu with just a dash of Dr Curt Conners
Wearing glasses without a nose (or ears) must be a challenge.

During the events of season 3, rebooted, Cyrus borg is turned into a cyborg by the overlord, that’s why one of his hands is black
Fun fact: according to the designers of ninjago city markets, the whole city is built around Cyrus borg, so he can access as much of the city as possible (he is a wheelchair user)
The Steve Jobs and/or Bill Gates of Ninjago. At least in how he dresses. He's a much better person, actually.
Except for that one time he was turned into an evil cyborg by his own creations because it become infected with a digital virus of course. But that was hardly his fault as the final boss of Ninjago 'was' the virus.
Good to see he's doing alright right now. Fun fact: he's also technically Zane's father in law as he created Pixal.
Remember when everyone hated on the markets? Yeah me neither.
Can't believe it took 9 years to get this minifig.
Took me a bit to get the pun in this guy's name.
@AustinPowers: I was wondering how long it would take for someone to make that reference. It was the first thing that came to my mind. But then, I have been binging ST:TNG lately...

with a side of Stephen Hawking."
...and a dash of Dr. Strangelove...
Turtle neck torso for the win
@Ridgeheart:
What? Archer only wears two things over a tactical turtleneck, and those things are a tactical web belt harness, and an alcohol-fueled haze.
@brick_r:
You prefer his skimpy lingerie and Psylocke straps look? That’s…um…*edges away*
@PurpleDave: Never look at it that way...I always viewed he's "original look" as "real" or at least "terrestrial"/"earthbound"; and not "Iron Man sans a helmet". When DC changed his origin from: Nearly killed by a trans-dimensional demon, put back together by scientist father using parts from his branch of S.T.A.R. labs; to: Nearly killed, dad uses a "Mother Box"...it lost the creativeness, heart, and soul of what Wolfman and Perez were going for...Not to mention his "Super Powers" figure was one of the priciest figures of all time...
Talking about markets. Will be there an official brickset review sometime?
@Ridgeheart:
Well, technically we’ve had three seasons since Woodhouse died, and he seems to have been managing so far. He can’t have had that many outfits laid out in advance. Also, his “default look” always includes a white dress shirt, usually with a tie. No jackets over tactical turtlenecks!
@brick_r:
All I’m saying is, between Nightwing, Cyborg, and Starfire, it’s like the Teen Titans were allergic to clothes.
With a name like Cyrus Borg, he must be... a vampire!

Yeah, look - that's just tempting fate. If you want your child to grow up to be a respectable and law-abiding citizen, maybe you shouldn't christen them something like "Skullcrusher McMurderstab". That person is probably not going to grow up to become a dentist.
Nice gender-neutral name though. And "Skully" does sound kind of endearing."
Not trying to derail this (much) further, but one could say Skullcrusher McMurderstab is still a much better name than whatever most celebrities' name their kids. I mean, X Æ A-12 is Musk's kid, and I feel so bad for their future therapist.
@Murdoch17:
Why? That therapist will be able to buy their own nation by the time they retire.
