This year's Inside Tour set revealed

Jay's Brick Blog has revealed that the set given to attendees of this year's LEGO Inside Tours in Billund is 4000049 Vintage LEGO Logo.

The 1,614-piece set builds a 3D version of the logo used by the LEGO company in 1946 that, in addition to a plethora of drum lacquered gold pieces that make up the letters, also includes some surprises in a 'secret' drawer housed in the base.

It looks to be one of the better Inside Tour sets, so is likely to command a hefty price on the secondary market, especially as so few are made and most participants do not part with them. Those that do can recoup most of the cost of the tour.

LEGO Tribute to Leonardo da Vinci gift-with-purchase revealed!

40902 Tribute to Leonardo da Vinci has arrived on LEGO.com, continuing the series of 'tribute' gifts-with-purchase released in recent years.

This set contains 251 pieces and a Leonardo da Vinci minifigure, re-using elements from 10363 Leonardo da Vinci's Flying Machine. We have no official information concerning when the set will be available or what the purchase threshold will be, but given it is on LEGO.com, presumably it will be released later this month.

LEGO Architecture Sagrada Família revealed!

A model of the beautiful Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família in Barcelona has been revealed. It contains in excess of 12,000 pieces, making it the largest LEGO set ever, in terms of number of parts.

It looks absolutely stunning, not only capturing the exquisite architectural details inside and out, but also the incredible lighting inside that's produced when the sun shines through the colourful stained-glass windows.

Construction of the basilica began in 1882 and a year later Antoni Gaudí took over the project. This year marks the centenary of his death, and although much work remains to finish sculptures and decorative elements, the building's main structure was completed earlier this year when the final stone was placed on top of the central tower.

Unfortunately, we have to wait five months before we can do the same on the model but, in the meantime, you can read the press release and view more pictures after the break.

Like their Ferrari predecessors, the pair of McLaren drivers' helmets, 43017 Oscar Piastri and 43023 Lando Norris, look absolutely superb and, like on the first two, all decorations (except on the visor) are printed.

LEGO Pokémon SMART Play sets revealed!

Following the launch of LEGO SMART Play with Star Wars in March, a selection of new Pokémon SMART Play sets have been announced today!

Auditorily, the use of SMART Play makes sense with Pokémon since the tech is similar to that of the Game Boy. Pikachu saying its name to communicate, like it does on the title screen of Pokémon Yellow, is entirely possible!

Furthermore, most of the Pokémon in the early games don't say their name as their cry like they do on the show. Instead, they sound more like electronic babble, so this might actually be the perfect application for the SMART Brick.

LEGO Technic Aston Martin AMR25 F1 Car revealed!

The onslaught of Technic Formula 1 cars carries on with 42240 Aston Martin Aramco AMR25 F1 Car, arriving on July 1st.

Naturally, this set is similar to others from the series, with 1547 pieces and costing £199.99, $229.99 or €229.99. Once again, the rear wheels are too narrow, which is at least consistent with the prior cars, but I think results in a model with awkward proportions, considering its large scale.

LEGO Marvel 76356 Venom Bust announced, including a new Venom minifigure

LEGO Marvel launched two busts last year, to a fairly lukewarm reception. I was not necessarily looking forward to another, but 76356 Venom Bust is unexpectedly appealing!

Firstly, I think this 413-piece model looks superb, capturing Venom's ferocious visage with plenty of detail, considering the scale. In addition, a unique Venom minifigure is included, inspired by Tom Hardy's portrayal of the character from the recent films, like the bust itself.

LEGO Star Wars 75453 Offworld Sandcrawler and Mudhorn revealed!

LEGO Star Wars announcements are not done for today, after 75454 Imperial Remnant AT-AT with INT-4, since 75453 Offworld Sandcrawler and Mudhorn has been revealed too!

This set is based on The Mandalorian's second episode, with 1683 pieces and costing £179.99, $199.99 or €199.99. This version of the Arvala-7 Sandcrawler will be available from August 1st and it comes with the Mudhorn, as well as The Mandalorian covered with mud. I have to note that his shoulder armour is the wrong colour, but otherwise, I think this set looks surprisingly good.

LEGO Star Wars Imperial Remnant AT-AT with INT-4 official images!

The Mandalorian and Grogu was finally released last week, featuring the prototype AT-AT walker originally seen in Star Wars Rebels and inspired by Joe Johnston and Ralph McQuarrie's sketches of the AT-AT for The Empire Strikes Back.

75454 Imperial Remnant AT-AT with INT-4 contains 1453 pieces and it will be released on August 1st, costing £139.99, $159.99 or €159.99. There are seven figures included, with the Imperial Remnant Snowtrooper and its new helmet notable among them.

LEGO Speed Champions BMW M3 (E30) official images!

There will be four new Speed Champions sets released on June 1st and another set, coming on August 1st, has been announced today.

77263 BMW M3 (E30) contains 358 pieces and will cost £22.99, $29.99 or €27.99, with a driver minifigure, as usual. There are aspects of the design I love, such as the use of forks for the BMW's distinctive twin radiator grilles, but I am not sure about the shape of the side windows and the roof.

LEGO Donkey Kong teaser!

LEGO Donkey Kong debuted in the Super Mario range a few years ago and it seems a bigger version of the famous Nintendo character is coming soon!

A short teaser video shows a barrel rolling through frame, with the Donkey Kong logo above, which almost certainly hints towards a large-scale Donkey Kong figure coming in the near future, I would imagine.

LEGO Star Wars 75459 Imperial Lambda-class Shuttle revealed!

We have already seen some interesting LEGO Star Wars sets revealed over the last few days, but May the Fourth provides the best yet, with 75459 Imperial Lambda-class Shuttle!

This model seems like the best Imperial Shuttle play set to date, including 961 pieces and some great minifigures, with Dr. Pershing a particular standout, plus a new version of Moff Gideon. The price of £139.99, $139.99 or €149.99 does seem very expensive, especially in Europe, but the quality of the design makes me feel a little better about that.

LEGO Star Wars Up-Scaled Darth Vader and AT-RT Driver Helmet revealed!

A new up-scaled LEGO minifigure format debuted in 2021 and has since been applied to various characters, now including Darth Vader! 75461 Up-Scaled Darth Vader Minifigure feels overdue, but its execution looks excellent on the whole.

In addition, the Helmet Collection endures with 75458 Imperial Remnant AT-RT Driver Helmet. I am surprised to see the series continue following the introduction of Star Wars busts, though this model looks impressive, so perhaps there is value in having both collections ongoing.

Summer LEGO NINJAGO Dragons Rising sets announced!

Three excellent NINJAGO Legends sets were unveiled earlier today and now the Dragons Rising season four sets have been announced as well.

These sets will be released on June 1st in Europe and Australasia, but not until August 1st in North America.

There are definitely some interesting sets, notably including 71868 Wyldyre's Transforming Dragon Mech, which looks like a fairly ordinary dragon at first glance, but features a dramatic transformation function!

LEGO Speed Champions Fast & Furious Toyota Supra and Ferrari LMP Car revealed!

A couple of new Speed Champions sets have been announced today, joining 77262 Ken Block's 1965 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn RTR V1 and 77264 Jaguar F-TYPE Project 7 & Land Rover Defender Classic.

Brian's orange Toyota Supra from Fast & Furious and the Ferrari 499P will be available from June 1st, costing £22.99, $29.99, €27.99 each. Both look superb to me and I am glad to see the trend of Speed Champions cars appearing as microscale and minifigure-scale models continues, after the 30709 Ferrari 499P - Hypercar recruitment bag was released last year.

Summer LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog sets revealed!

Following the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds sets in January, the LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog theme is back with another wave, as two new sets will be released on the 1st of August.

77119 Tails' Tornado-1 takes inspiration from Sonic Unleashed, which is one of my favorite Sonic games. Unfortunately, however, there's no Werehog minifigure to be found. 77120 Shadow's Mech vs. G.U.N. Trooper isn't based on any official material, although it does incorporate several traits from the character, such as the usage of a motorcycle and the Doom Wing!

Six magical LEGO Disney sets revealed!

The LEGO Disney summer sets star adorable buildable characters from Moana, and Lilo and Stitch, as well as a Little Mermaid playset containing the first ever minidoll for Ursula's alter ego, Vanessa.

A uniquely Aladdin-based set hasn't been seen since 2023, but the subtheme returns here as a jewellery box depicting a scene of Aladdin showing a whole new world to Jasmine above the Palace of Agrabah.

Summer LEGO Minecraft sets revealed!

LEGO Minecraft released an impressive wave in January, and that level of quality looks to continue with the sets releasing on June 1st.

Among some minifigure-scale sets, we also get some more buildable characters with 21592 Chicken Jockey Desert Attack and 21594 The Skeleton. However, the highlight for me is the display-focused 21595 The Ender Dragon!

Summer LEGO NINJAGO Legends sets unveiled!

NINJAGO's fifteenth anniversary year continues with a few spectacular summer sets unveiled today! These are based on the NINJAGO Legends miniseries, following the two sets released last year.

All three models are incredible, but my absolute favorite has to be 71871 Battle at the Dragon's Blade, which is brilliant in both concept and execution!

Summer LEGO Friends sets revealed!

Among the multitude of sets being revealed today is the summer wave of Friends. It looks like there are some familiar scenes (hotels and amusement parks, anyone?).

I'm particularly interested in 42703 Mermaid Roller Coaster, which looks like the best Friends roller coaster ever, and 42704 Heartlake City Grand Hotel. While there have been three Grand Hotels, this one looks like it may have more similarities to the original 41101 Heartlake Grand Hotel, which also had an elevator.

Four more LEGO Technic sets revealed, one of which isn't a car!

Fans of 'proper' Technic finally have something to look forward to, among the plethora of cars.

Although it's a four-wheeled vehicle, at least 42242 Mercedes-Benz Unimog U 5023 with Crane features pneumatics, the first set to do so since 2024.

Three 'more of the same' cars have also been revealed, including two from the Fast and Furious franchise, one of which is another version of Dom's Dodge.

Megatron debuts in LEGO BrickHeadz form!

Megatron has been conspicuous by his absence from the LEGO Transformers range to date, but he is finally arriving on June 1st, as a BrickHeadz figure!

The carefully-named 40924 Megatron Robot & Vehicle contains 224 pieces and will cost £19.99, $24.99 or €24.99.

Fans have discussed whether Megatron's alternate tank mode would prove problematic for a LEGO model and I think use of the term 'Megatron Vehicle' on the box suggests that it is an issue, although if a BrickHeadz set is possible, perhaps a large-scale transforming model is too! I certainly hope so.
