    Going Around in Circles

As I mentioned in my review of set #150, I cannot get enough of this hip blue track. Adding this set along with set #155 allows for some really far out track setups.

    Box/Instructions

The window on the front of the box was great for seeing your track pieces in the store. Which was keen on the trip I took to see my aunt. She took us to Marshall Field's and they had all kinds of LEGO sets to choose from.

I did find on the trip back home that using the box for storage is ok but the window is to easily broken and lets the parts slip out. I will probably just trash the box, it's not like it is going to ever be worth anything.

151 InstructionsThe instructions are simply printed on the back of the box, and show 4 layouts. 2 of which took me a little bit to figure out that they are using regular LEGO bricks to build a over and under truss setup.

    Parts

The box shows that it comes with 8 pieces of curved track, but I was able to build 9. I almost spazed out finding the extra section of track. Also I noticed that in my set some of the white plates where different.

I had some with circles on the bottom, but others came with a waffle board look to them.151 Waffles

    The build

Using this set you can build half a circle, combining this set with a train starter set like #113 and other track expansion sets will quickly increase the complexity. Actual assembly of the track is not to challenging, but you have to keep a close eye on the smooth track piece vs the grooved ones. Mixing up the two rails will cause you some real trouble.

    The completed model

151 Curved TrackA completed piece of track is shown in the Polaroid I took of it. Using the 8 sections provided you can build a half circle, a full circle will require the purchase of another set. $2 is allot of bread man. I already had a starter set # 111, so I am just expanding my railroad.

    Overall opinion

This set is great for expansion and I will be buying several more sets, along with other track expansion packs. My old lady keeps going ape, she thinks I am going to take over her whole house. I keep telling her, “Mom I am learning valuable engineering skills”. I don’t think she believes me.
