    30190: Ferrari 150 Italia

    FOREWORD

I am not a racing fanatic, a Ferrari enthusiast, or a general car expert, not even for LEGO® cars. But I shall be making this review to try to describe the set and the build on neutral terms, so to speak. I also do not have other sets which may show the same model, bigger or smaller, so I do not have a point of comparison. I leave it to other LEGO® Ferrari enthusiasts to make, perhaps, a better viewpoint.

    _________________________________________________________________________

What can be more iconic in F1 racing than the Ferrari racecar? Or at least that‘s the only one that sticks to my mind other than the supercars it is famous for. HERE COMES....THE F150!

    THE BAG

Like the rest of the sets, it comes with the standard poly bag. The back shows the requisite markings and logos of Shell & Ferrari.

    THE CONTENTS

There's not much, but it's not lack luster. The wheels are very appropriate...and I wish there were a few on the minifig set. We have the stickers protected inside the box, and the revolutionary micro-propulsion system (see my review on the FXX).

    THE INSTRUCTION SHEET

Better follow the steps in putting on the stickers here, rather than when everything is assembled , because it may prove difficult when you get recesses from the slopes especially with the wheels in place.

    THE BUILD

The F150 Italia looks very nice. Over all, it will look plain without the decals, but it still is in striking red.

After the necessary “magic” of stickers, we now have the completed model. Notice the extra decal? You choose the number and this will also correspond to the prescribed 1x1 round plate. And I love blue... And they say 6 is unlucky...he, he!

Though we always wish that everything was printed to save us the trouble of putting the stickers spot on, I just couldn’t imagine everything being done so, not with all the signature signs, emblems, logos, and what have you.

    THE EXTRAS

You get small parts, the number of blue and lime round plates will differ with which racing number you choose with the decal.

    OVERALL IMPRESSION

It's a very nice car. Aside from the super cars, this is Ferrari for me. It looks authentic...it's very F1. You just have to love everything in it...the decals don't even become a necessary evil. Everything in this little fella becomes a beauty when everything is added up.

The parts have good clutch power as always, which is perfect when this baby gets tested on the race track, er, floor...whatever!

The stickers are dreadful, but putting them on becomes a labor of love in this set, so I suggest doing so with the utmost of care. Again, it's a job for adults and needs "proper equipment" if you want it to be flawless.

You have to love the way LEGO(R) catches the look and feel of it in such a small scale. If space ships have the swoosh factor, this thing definitely has the "VRRrrrrroooooom" factor...it's very "vroomable", he he! It always gives me auditory hallucinations of a car going 200+ Kph!

So, if you don't get to catch everything that comes in the series, consider this as one of the firsts you have to purchase. It's so good, I'm lost for words describing it!

    Thanks for viewing. PLAY WELL!
