Another Good Star Wars Polybag
Box/Instructions:
Comes in polybag with normal polybag sized instructions.
Parts:
The blue and yellow pieces are nice as it adds to the correct colors of the ship. You don't get any other cool or unique parts in this set besides those. The total piece count for the set is 55.
The Build:
The build was quick and easy. It took me a couple of minutes to build.
Overall Opinion:
Overall this is another nice Star Wars polybag. The U-Wing does a nice job of resembling the larger version of it (set 75155, which I own). The ship is divided into two parts the front (where the cockpit is) and the back with the engines. The design of the ship is nicely done. I recommend getting this set if you collect the Star Wars polybags or just to add to you Lego collection in general. Overall I'm giving this a 5-star rating.

Set #30496 U-Wing Fighter: The Rogue One film saw many interesting new designs for the Star Wars universe, the U-Wing is one such design and this mini model really does a great job of giving us the ship in small scale. Like with other Polybag reviews I’ve typed we will discuss the pros and cons of the small set and then go into final thoughts on the product.
Pros:
-
Fun model for play and display.
-
Likeness of U-Wing vessel achieved very impressively at such a small scale and with decent colour choice for the parts.
-
A fairly adequate price-per-piece ratio.
-
Great use of parts.
Cons:
-
New design may not agree with everyone’s tastes.
-
As with many Star Wars polybags this set is slightly harder to find at retail.
-
Connector piece used for the two halves, cockpit and engines, has a tendency to dislocate during the build and make it slightly harder to snap on than it should due to the design of the blocky engine section.
Overall opinion
This isn’t a terrible set, far from it, like with many polybags it’s up to personal taste and the ship does work quite nicely. The design works great, I would strongly recommend it if you’re a fan of the U-Wing design and want a small model to sit on a desk or just to fiddle with. It’s definitely also good for stop-motion films and long-distance shots. So, again, strongly recommended.
