rereleased version of the set that paved the road for Lego Minifiures
My dad got this set back in the day and he gave it to me, making it one of my first sets I ever owned and played with. this is the 1981 version of the 1978 set 600 Police Car, which is the first Lego Set to ever have the Minifigure we all know today! it's a simple design for the car that can not fit a minifigure, but it will always be a classic and have an important part in Lego's history.
Pros: THE FIRST LEGO MINIFIGURE EVER!!!!!!!!
Cons: None! this is a flawless re released classic!!!!!

Hope you like walking, Officer
Well the picture says it all. The police man can't get into his own car. This wasn't that unusual for early minifig sets, but doesn't make it any less frustrating. Of course you can sit him on the front or on the roof (if you remove the blue light). I wonder if this was designed before Lego came up with the steering wheel piece. Probably a good budget buy at the time, but you wouldn't bother now, especially as most people would have all the pieces they need to build it without even having the set.
