Ah, an unnamed minifigure.

By in United States,

By my time, this torso had passed its 80s heyday and I only knew it from the 10000 Guarded Inn rerelease. Consequently, I think of it as a Castle torso and find it odd to see as a Town fig, but I suppose that is really where it got the most use.

I'm not sure how sporty her convertible is, or if she's really dressed for it.

Necklace? I see two!

Either this is a mini-figure wearing a white jumpsuit celebrating Mardi Gras (the red beads) by heading to New Orleans to party, or it's the generally-as-seen-in-media appearance of Jesus (tell me this fig doesn't look that way!) come to take his followers home. (after enjoying his new sports car for a bit).

...Could be both at the same time, actually.

The fanciest lady in the Town!

Looks like a double loop of the cheap fake pearls my grandmother had. They were plastic beads with a tiny bead on one side, and a hole on the other side, so you could link them together to any length. And they were very clearly plastic, not pearls.

@Formendacil, I always associate this torso with the Castle theme, too, instead of Town. The one Castle set I own that has this torso is Knight's Challenge. It is a "classic" torso, for sure!

Aack! It’s the “Cathy” comic strip minifigure.

Yikes, that's nightmare fuel.

By in Canada,

What gets me is the blue undershirt, or whatever it is. This torso to me is the king’s daughter, but that blue now makes me squint in curiosity.

By in United Kingdom,

All in white and driving flash cars? Is this the Stig’s daughter?

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Got her with blue pants from 6349 only found out later the torso was also used in castle

By in Finland,

Female hair? No, that's the og Anakin hair.

Just kidding, I know it first appeared in the old Town sets.

By in Netherlands,

Back then, Town and Castle were just 1 world, under the LEGOLAND branding :)

In just 1 year, the Damsel/Maiden upgraded her ride from a simple 6023 : Maiden's Cart to a 6501 : Sport Convertible

But the story wasn't over there, as later she visited the 6060: Knight's Challenge , with plenty of ways to travel between the Town and Castle realms via train, or airport, 6399: Airport Shuttle, 6396: International Jetport , 4554 : Metro Station 4558: Metroliner as the same figure is evidence of that, right ;)

Maybe she was actually the Queen or Princess, and Town was just a holiday location , as seen with 1472: Vacation House

Actually, you're quite right about that.
This torso and it's older counterpart with golden necklace (383) both originated in the Castle theme. Whilst the appearance in Guarded Inn seems to portray the innkeeper of the set, the other set of 1986 (6023) is likely meant to be 'Princess Alma' from the comic book 'Castle Kids'.

Oh Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz?
My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends
Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends
So, oh Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz?

As a kid, I loved the set in which she came. I even remember buying it at a five and dime store in southeastern Connecticut called Benny’s. You would think that with a store named that I would have gotten a spaceship. Spaceship!

I named her Brigitte as a kid - had somehow to do with the necklace. One of the very few minifigs I had a name for. Another one was Toni Mang from 6677.

What? No. This minifig has no thumbs. Cathy characters are physically incapable of hiding theirs.

Maybe 6083 will work better? ;)

The simplicity of the plain minifigures. I was disappointed when Lego modulars moved away from default face.

Love me a classic rock reference, and may Janis Joplin rest in peace.

Imagine being identified by your clothing. "Hey pinstripe suit man, how's your day?" "Why it's splendid, Dunder Mifflin t-shirt fellow."

Why that minifigure have 2 necklaces?

First thing i was thinking is that this is someone who attended the Beatles' trip to India around 1966 to visit the maharadja.

By in Japan,

Grew up on those old LEGO car designs. They still have that charm that is hard to explain when compared to the 6 to 8 stud wide beasts with ultra detail we get nowadays. I remember how it was fun to use the hinge piece with the with a 2x2 tile on top to represent the hood of the car and the lone odd colored stud to represent the "engine" in those old cars. For some reason the imagination ran wild with those things. And it was more baller when you could get the larger tires use a pair of 2x2 bricks keep the rest of the design the same but have a Monster truck instead! lol. Man we were easy to please.
