Most recent set I got this piece in: 60384: Penguin Slushy Van

I used six of this exact element to make a beam where a small flying saucer is abducting a farmer minifig.

Not going to do Luke much good with only half a bacta chamber.

Sure, why not? Lay it flat, and it’s a bacta bath. No respirator needed.

This part will always remind me of my 6496 Whirling Time Warper and the Exploriens sets. I'm surprised that lego still has this one now that Space Police III introduced the longer version that's tall enough to fit a minifig. In this one they might barely be able to sit down if they don't have a headgear, I recall vaguely.

@Binnekamp:
Part of the reason I used this version for the UFO was that the minifig wouldn’t shift around once I assembled the beam (with a fedora, in a seated position, the minifig is basically touching on all sides). I really wanted TNG, but that’s not happening now. TGB might still be a possibility, and that would glow better with UV lighting.

Makes me think of an exterior elevator shaft.

This one has the advantage that if you put it between two Technic bricks (e.g. 4x4 rounds), the bricks will be 5 bricks == 6 studs apart, better for connecting to other things. Or two of them plus a few plates, as in the boosters for 60351.
