This week's site updates (21 March)
Posted by Huw,
Not much to report this week:
- There's a new 'Prices' tab on the set details pages that shows the retail prices of the set in the countries that shop.LEGO.com ships to. It also shows the equivalent price in USD and also in your local currency, but only if it's one we have exchange rates for.
- The query builder can't yet access all of these prices but there are some new fields available for exchange rate comparisons between USD, EUR and GBP.
- The contact form now attempts to provide answers to some of the commonest questions that we are asked but can't actually help with. I'm hoping that it will reduce the number of emails I receive.
- BrickList editing has been improved and now provides better error messages in the event of invalid input.

Is there any chance you could put in the prices for Singapore too?
Here in SG, we usually gather our prices from this online link: www.bricksworld.com.sg
The pricing is pretty standard, so 1 source can represent all

^^ It would probably be a lot of work for little reward, unfortunately.
You're the best Huw! Wish there was a nomination for Best online database.
So nothing new on fixing the Activity feed?
Hmm, since the recent changes the site doesn't recognize my homecountry anymore and fills {unknown country} in. Don't know why or how to change that back to Germany.
^^ It's not broken, is it?
^ Country detection is now handled by the CloudFlare CDN. What does it show at http://www.whatismyip.com/?
Hi Huw, it's showing Country: DE short for Deutschland (Germany) and State: Hessen.
^^It's not showing anything, and it doesn't respond when I try to refresh it, and when I tried to put the feed in again it didn't accept it as a valid feed url. Again, I'm using My Yahoo to read that feed, among all my others.
It looks like a bad character in one of the item descriptions, I'll get it removed.
It works now. Thanks.
