Brickset minifigs and bricks now available
Posted by Huw,
At long last, by popular demand, we are making a range of Brickset-branded minifigs and bricks available!
We've teamed up with UK-based MinifigForLife Print Studio who will be producing them to order on their Roland UV printer. They are direct digital prints, printed at 1440dpi, so the quality is stunning, the best I have seen, in fact.
Six items will initially be available:
- Male minifig with blue torso
- Male minifig with white torso
- Female minifig with blue torso
- Female minifig with white torso
- White 1x8 brick
- Blue 1x8 brick
The cost of the minifigs is £4.25 and the bricks £1.50, which is about US$7.20 and $2.50.
Postage costs for up to 100g, which should be enough for several items, are: UK: £1.40, Europe: £3.20, Rest of World: £3.80.
You can order them directly from MinifigForLife Print Studio.

Yes it is a good price but I suspect some will still complain :-)
Ordered. Very nice. :D
Ordered! :-)
Excellent stuff and very reasonable! I'm off to order!
Order complete :-)
The website quotes £1.20 for UK postage not £1.40 as mentioned in the article, which is even better.
ordered! magnificent!
Just ordered 1 of each ;) their great.
$7.20 isn't bad for a minifigure...
Nice job, guys! I think, the price is good for these unique minifigs. I will order a couple of minifigs on the next week. Yeah! :)
But, err... orange trousers??? OMG! Why not black, or white, or dark blue, or grey?
And when will we can order a Brickset-branded Huw minifig (with glass and with blue torso)? Okay, I'm just joking.
Nice. I know that the brick badges are a bit of a big thing with conventions/shows etc (I'm expecting one from the Munchkin Kickstarter) so that's a nice option to have.
Nice looking figs! I love the orange legs. Most custom figs use drab old colors; this looks great!
Wow these are great! I'll definetely order a pair of the white torso ones- I agree with Yuree, the orange pants of the blue torsos are much too offputting. And a Huw minifig would be amazing, I'd definetely get one.
What colour would you prefer? You can always swap the legs -- it's LEGO after all :-)
I always thought there were cool souvenirs. I'm glad to see they are more available now. :)
Will you be making a shirt like this available for non-minifigures? I'm sure I'm not the only Brickset reader who would wear a T-shirt with your lovely logo on it.
^ Yes I do plan to. Just got to work out the logistics, really, as I don't want to hold stock and faff about dispatching them. Ideally we'll have a company like TeeFury in the US and in the UK selling them so if anyone has suggestions let me know...
Wow, they look great. The printing is so detailed, they did a great job.
=)
Huw, what do you think about Zazzle?

Finally! I'm so glad to see this. Already ordered a brick for myself. I'll definitely put it on my name badge for BrickFair Virginia this year!
Under a fiver for a custom printed minifig is more than a fair price :) Order incoming.
Ordered. My only complaint is the not so obvious way to get to your cart on that website after browsing. The small text link at the bottom isn't a very shopper friendly UI.
@Yuree, thanks. I've ordered a T-shirt, if it's up to scratch I'll make it available to buy. They are a little pricey at £17 for dark blue (nobody wears white t-shirts, except minifigs, right? ) although they are running a 20% off offer a the moment.
@Huw, I actually need some more white graphic tee shirts so maybe I'd go for the white Brickset shirt. :D
Those are pretty cool. The guy almost looks like me, except for the hair color, lack of glasses, plus the fact that I wouldn't be caught dead in orange pants. So really, not much like me at all! The bricks with logo are admittedly quite cool... maybe someone could make a vignette of the Brickset homepage with that brick? I don't see much else use for it aside from just being awesome.
Those are really cool!
Nice looking! Just ordered two bricks and 1 fig!
So cool. How long do you think it would take for them to reach the US from the time I place an order?
5 days or so.
I'd like to thank you all for placing orders. We love using our new printer and it will be a delight to fulfil these orders. I'd just like to add that there are a large number of orders to fulfil and we will do first come first serve, so there may be delays of a couple of days for those that have only just placed their orders, but we will be working around the clock until we get them all done.
Now if we could just convince LEGO to provide a similar Torso for their Lego Stores.... I don't fit the T-shirt sizes that they carry.
I plan to visit Cardiff and London this summer, and would love to do a "pick a brick" or "Minifig" with a Store Logo.
This would be similar to the "Grand Opening" bricks that I got at the Lego-Discovery in Yonkers, NY when it opened. Now I wonder if the two new stores (within driving distance) still have any Grand Opening stuff - I suppose it is worth a drive over.
Would this be something to put into the new branded Cusoo/Lego Ideas site?
Great idea. Just ordered one of each. Now you need to have a lime green set added so there is a complte tie into your web color scheme. I'll keep an eye out for that down the road.
@HUW way too expensive!
Just kidding. This is awesome. You have the best brick site on the interwebs. Thank you for creating this product. I hope it's only the beginning of a long line of custom Brickset creations.
I ordered the whole set! What a great idea and at such a good price!
If your in the US. $8 for 3 1x8 Engraved Bricks... :)
