I own 60044, which is similar but better than the set this guy is in
I Mustache you not to assume I am a criminal.
Hercule Poirot has turned to crime …

I own 76160, which is similar, but infinitely better than any sets in that same style.
Bonjour oui oui
This guy robbed a bakery for some croissants and baugettes.
Black Jack Shellac, is that you?
I can't help thinking/feeling: this guy's actually an undercover officer, and perhaps in an 'Inspector Clouseau'-type of way...:D
@Maxbricks14: Well..."better" is a 'relative term', the set this figure comes does contain a vehicle for the bad guys (in red...again...?), while the other shows the 'escapee' running away on foot...with a ball-and-chain attached to his foot no less...
He must not be a very good criminal. He doesn’t have a very big stash in that bag.
He does have a very big ‘stache on his face, however.
Clearly in a facial hair competition with our last crook:

Funny fact, his previous job was as a chef! 40295
Here are some more facts about this minifigure. His name was Sudds Backwash, he first came out from 70812 one of the Lego movie sets. I guess his job was being a part of the saloon, mostly blowing out the robots and stuff to help the city, SPOILERS! Two years later, He committed some crime at Lego City, probably the police found out, and then escaped the city by using a spare tire and a paddle! 60126 He got arrested and sent to prison island 60130 I guess his friends escaped prison including him by using the legendary hot air balloon! They travel through the city again! He probably decided to be a chef for fun 40295 Cooking a fresh chicken drumstick! I guess he got fired or retired after that, He found a construction vest for some disguise, did some more crime, and funny enough, still got caught by cops 60139, after that, he was free from prison! He traveled through to Ninjago City, changed his name to Severin Black, and works at some crab shack 70620 if I'm not wrong, and now he went back as a chef after that! 40458 That's a crazy story right there just for a single minifigure!
Great face print. I wish I had one. I wouldn't make him a common criminal though. This face deserves better, either a mastermind or a masterchef.

Close enough, welcome back "QUICK LORE" guy.

A murderous chef with two daggers
To me he will always be the guy who tried to escape prison in a tire. What a champ!

For real? The cramped Batman one with the floor being splat gears and an entire section being a jet leaving a big hole... over the legendary 8635 Mobile Command Center, which was clearly being homaged?
I mean... if you care the most about Batman regardless of what the vehicle is like... sure...?
At least the Batman set was something else than a Batmobile or Batwing or literally just a bigger Batman. And it had more characters than just Batman and the Joker.

And now do the same for all the different costumes and places this guy showed up... twn269

He actually did kill someone in the last book featuring him (Hercule Poirot's Last Case or something like that), so you aren't far off. Apologies if I spoiled something that came out over 50 years ago, and was written in the '40s!

That's alright. I knew that about Poirot. I'm a huge Agatha Christie fan. Avid reader that's read all of her books. My wife doesn't understand why I collect LEGO and Agatha Christie novels and reference material.

@Murdoch17: The name of the book was Curtain. And @LuvsLEGO_Cool_J: I, too, am a huge Agatha Christie fan. I haven't read everything she's written, but I've read everything I could find.

See? You do get it! I was worried I’d have to explain it.
"At least the Batman set was something else than a Batmobile or Batwing or literally just a bigger Batman. And it had more characters than just Batman and the Joker."
More importantly, it has really good minifigs. It has one of the best versions of Mr. Freeze, and very distinctive versions of both Batgirl and Man-Bat.
