Review: 40757 Corner Kiosk
Posted by Huw,
10350 Tudor Corner will be launched tomorrow and early purchasers will receive 40757 Corner Kiosk, a model of a street vendor's stand typical of those found in London.
Summary
40757 Corner Kiosk, 205 pieces.
This GWP complements Tudor Corner perfectly.
- Surprisingly detailed
- Includes two useful generic minfigs
- None
The set was provided for review by LEGO. All opinions expressed are those of the author.
The 205-piece set comprises a newspaper kiosk, newspaper and postcard rotary stand, a gumball machine and two minifigures.
For its diminutive size, the kiosk is surprisingly detailed and colourful, with unexpected SNOT techniques used to create the sand blue band around the top.
The sign and magazine cover are decorated with stickers, but the newspaper tiles are printed, having been utilised elsewhere before.
The roof is loosely attached so it can be removed easily, to reveal a small space inside for the vendor to stand. There's not much room for details inside, just a sand green till on one side and a couple of magazines racked up on the other.
The gold hat on top of the newspaper rack was first used in Disney Princess sets, adorning the heads of various pets.
The vendor and customer minifigs are perfectly attired for their roles, and the latter is equipped with that essential British accessory, an umbrella...
This is a great little model, so it will definitely be worth buying 10350 Tudor Corner at LEGO.com while the kiosk is the accompanying gift with purchase, particularly as the new modular is unlikely to be discounted any time soon.

One of those newspapers has COP014S (The first ever minifigure) on it!
@Huw any information about availability in LEGO stores?
Looks pretty swell. I'm just not sure if it's enough to part with $230. I'm learning towards, 'yes.'
This is cutting it close!
2025 is very soon!

Nothing concrete but I'd be surprised if it is not available in them. Dates are said to be 1st to 7th January.
This is so cute! Good as a stand-alone set, IMO. Will definitely pick this up once its available.
Looks like crow, reading the newspaper to Tom servo
could be going mad but that magazine's 'fig looks far too muscular and detailed to be a regular minifig..... is that Jack Stone? Has he had a career change?!

My god, I think you're right! It definitely looks like him, even has the logo on the chest.
Nice little set. However not a patch on the previous two Modular GWP's 40586 40681 . Especially as the Police Station 10278 already has a newspaper kiosk. I will definitely pick this up though on the secondary market whilst waiting for a third party retailer to discount the Tudor Corner. Here in the UK I'm still looking out for Natural History Museum to be discounted, John Lewis were always pretty reliable but to my knowledge they aren't stocking it, any advice greatly appreciated.
Hopefully LEGO will have more than 10 so they won't be gone like Shackleton's life boat was when I woke up at 5 am and it was already sold out.

Can do. Will do. Done!
Jack Stone NEEDS a comeback, even as a cameo in a single set!
The woman's expression makes me think she is an American doing her comedy British accent/voice.
Does this connect to the Modular somehow or just a standalone build?

My thoughts exactly! At approximately 100 less parts than the trucks (40681 and 40586) , and being a small structure instead of a vehicle this just doesn’t have enough appeal to make me want to pay full price for the 10350 Tudor Corner. I’ll wait for some other GWP or double points.
There are now 3 of these Travel magazines: 40757 (sand green, guy under a parasol) , 76218 (light blue, Japanese pagoda) and 76294 (blue, mountain sunset/sunrise picture)
A fun touch (beyond the Jack Stone cameo) is that the stickered travel magazine has the same branding as the one from 76294.

Well done. I am pretty sure that blocked up headline says "Bong Building" too.
I can't be the only one that sees a Tom Servo in that set.

If you'd read the comments, you'd know that you're not.
I'd love to buy this if it wasn't a GWP. It's a great-looking set.

Here in CH Smyths Toys is the only reseller stocking it. Might be the same in the UK?

CON: Availability too limited. Already sold out in the US store on January 2nd. Can't even last 48 hours.

Is that CON supposed to mean "Confirmed," or "The opposite of 'Pro?'" I can see either interpretation working.

Opposite of PRO. It's definitely a negative.
