By in Sweden,

I'm totally buying this, but I'm disappointed about the lack of gift with purchase dedicated to this. Wouldn't have hurt to have a few of Penguin's lackeys with a car or something!

This is no longer really up my alley, but when I was younger I would have loved this! What a fun set.

By in Sweden,

Looking through the cast of minifigs, the only truly iconic villain missing is probably Twoface. Would have been nice to have him as GWP, on a little stand doing a speech, with another guard.

Double Insider Points on Batman sets here…..except Arkham. So you can get stuffed, Lego.

Glad you pointed that out. I was feeling conflicted about getting this. Now, I can relax and save my money. ;)

Great model, horrible, cheap figures.

Imagine if they removed the ambulance and made that the exclusive Day 1 GWP

Clayface would like a word with you. As would Manbat. And Ra’s Al Ghul. And just…so many others.

By in United States,

This reminds me somewhat of the 76126 Quinjet where an otherwise good set is worsened by lesser character variants.

I would still have considered it as a Day 1 but I guess no special reason to do so, especially with an amazing BLDP Series 6 and Starfleet incoming.

It’s misleading too as at the time I was looking, it didn’t actually state which sets had double points. I found out by reading the terms and conditions

That’s abhorrent of LEGO to run a Batman 2x during an iconic Batman release only to then exclude the new set.

I actually had to google "Batman Day," as this is the first I'd heard of it.

Yeah....only 14 sets available including Arkham Asylum. Not many choice to go with.

By in Germany,

Perfect set if you're trying to army build orange jumpsuits.

By in Hungary,

Not bad, but the character selection is a missed opportunity. As an 18+ set, they could have included characters that would definitely not be included in a set designed for children. I'll wait for the sale.

In fairness, any of the minifigures in this set could be Clayface. They could even be Chameleon or Mystique, even though they're Marvel. The possibilities are... there! There are possibilities.

By in United States,

Oh that's misleading. I clicked to see the sets linked for 2x Insider Rewards and the first set in the link is Arkham Asylum. Adding it to your cart revealed that the points bonus isn't included. I sent them a strongly worded letter.

Hope kids like it.
Not my Arkham- BTAS was barely a token gesture of ungreat sets.

It is pretty clear on the UK site. It says on "selected purchases" and excludes Arkham in the first line of the Batman offer terms. That is fairly standard for offers here.

I already did that. Got a bunch of TLBM jumpsuits and put every single TLBM Arkham villain in one except for Clayface and Croc.

I need those jumpsuits in a cheap set...

Same! Really good looking set and a relative value IMO. My kids have grown up and out of this sort of set but it's a great design.

By in United Kingdom,

I like this but I won't buy it I'll just grab the odd Minifig from brickowl lol

By in Singapore,

This set is probably inspired by the one from the Lego Batman Movie. I have that set, and I even completed my collection of orange jumpsuits for each character. If u missed out, you can get this new one.

It's more about their reputation from the movies, in my opinion. Characters like Ivy, Mr Freeze, The Riddler, were made very popular through Batman and Robin or through the multiple games. Penguin from Batman Returns and so many other content. Catwoman, Bane, and Scarecrow were in the insanely popular Nolan trilogy. Joker and Harley have been popular since forever ago in the Animated Series.

I don't remember Clayface or Manbat in movie form. Ra's Al Ghul is the exception to me, but he doesn't have the same visual presence as the others mentioned so far. I get that in the end it's a question of preferences, but for me Twoface is THE missing one.

By in Belgium,

In Belgium it's already on Backorder... that's a good sign I guess if we want to see more DC Modulars in the future! I'll be waiting to get it either on sale, with double points or with a good GWP.

Fun Fact: There’s 24 bags in this set so it’ll be my advent calendar this year!

I think you underestimate the popularity many of those characters enjoyed from B:TAS. Mr. Freeze was at best a D-list character after the 66 series. The Heart of Ice episode won an Emmy, and it’s a testament to the success of that version that Arnold didn’t negatively impact his popularity going forward. Manbat was the first villain on that show. Several characters, including Clayface, were retooled in main comics continuity to make them more like their B:TAS incarnations. Many people soured on the DeVito Penguin, but the B:TAS version is still classy.

They weren’t, at least not in live action. Or anything with a theatrical release. On Leather Wings and Feat of Clay I/II are both top-rated episodes of the animated series, and Clayface probably got another bump from the Harley Quinn series.
