Posted by Huwbot,
Today's random minifigure is dp186 Rapunzel - Mini Doll, Bright Pink Flower, a Disney figure that came in one set, 43241 Rapunzel's Tower & The Snuggly Duckling, released during 2024.
Our members collectively own a total of 188 of them. If you'd like to buy one you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $5.50.

We haven't had a Minidoll on for a while.
(Which is a good thing)

We actually did get one in 2021 in set 43195
*whew* Refreshed the page to get both of the RXotD articles, and underneath VSotW was...the 3D printed train. For half a second, my brain was thinking, "the train is a minifig now?"

Max meant that we haven't had a minidoll as RMotD for a while.

Bricklink isn't *that*crazy... yet.
Cool minidoll. Cool set, too. I’d love for them to do a D2C Rapunzel Tower one of these days. That and Elsa’s Ice Palace.
There seems to be a new version of Rapunzel's Tower every couple years. Can we predict a new one for 2027?
I realise having the version of Rapunzel with the braided hair is for practical purposes…
…but if they did do a version with her hair unbound and at full length how would they do it? I feel like a rubber piece like they have with stretchy armed people would still be a bit too stiff but what’s the alternative? Cloth like a cape?

Maybe a hair piece with an attachment point, so you could connect the piece they used in 43241?
I'm wondering if they're ever going to do a short-haired minidoll of Rapunzel. I'd guess not since Disney probably figure she isn't marketable without her iconic long hair - to the point that even the post-movie spinoff TV series had to come up with a way for her hair to magically regrow in the pilot movie... - but I remember at the time seeing people online commenting how they appreciated Rapunzel's post-haircut design for finally being a Disney Princess who looked like themselves, so I feel like it's a missed opportunity not to at least do a version of her that has an alternate hairpiece even if the long hair part is present as well.
I also think it's a bit excessive that Bricklink counts this and https://brickset.com/minifigs/dp225 as different minidolls. I know they're *technically* different, but to be honest I feel like the hair accessory pieces could be treated more like handheld accessories are, and not counted as part of the figure, rather than having multiple minidolls who are basically the same but just have e.g. different colour flowers in their hair. That might be a "me" thing, but I can't help but feel it would make the catalogue feel more organised.
Those thoughts aside, I do like this newest face design for Rapunzel's minidolls; none of the earlier ones really looked right to me, but this one - with the wider eyes and less pronounced smile in particular - definitely captures the character of her animated design in a more effective way.

Bricklink (and thus Brickset) considers a minifig/minidoll to consist of everything shown being in assembled in th instruction steps at the start of the set (or bag, if the figure is assembled later on in the build process). This includes not only hair accessories, but things like skates.

I agree — I'd also like to see a figure of her with the short hair. A darker version of the hair used on CW / Ep. III Anakin would work well.

They already did Elsa’s ice palace.
@ThatBionicleGuy:
I just realized that short-haired Rapunzel is only the second Disney Princess with brown hair, after Belle. But they only market her as a blonde, and the film basically ended right after she went brunette.

As a minidoll set. I'd like for them to do one with minifigures, too.
