And similar to previous series, the Lego site breaks down at release.
Outlaw Forest Den and Off-Road Adventure are secured ;)
I won't order anything from the next series, as nothing interests me in the selection; I already look forward to Series 8, though!
Outlaw Forest Den purchased! I think it's the one that fits the most the style of the official Lion's Castle, along with the Mountain Fortress for the Black Falcons. I skipped on all the other medieval sets since, even the Forest Man Hideout didn't feel right.
Still pondering on the Art Factory, but it'll be a pain to transform to modular standards due to the semi basement they added, lifting everything up...
LEGO website is hosed...stuck trying to check out. The Outlaw Forest Den is the first one of these that I'm going to purchase and am super excited about it.
I'm so bored with the usual Lego techno fiasco that I came here to comment before going back to mash buttons.
I was logged in more than an hour in advance. Still, nothing but problems at EVERY SINGLE STAGE!!!!
Currently, I'm stuck on the shipping address page of the checkout.
Usual problems but was eventually able to checkout - just had to keep refreshing and retrying
Sorry an unexpected error occurred. Please try again later.
I had a bit of a problem putting sets into my bag, almost brought two of the goldmine. Once they were in the bag, everything went okay.
Actually I was surprised this broke down at the start as I thought my last series experience went without a hitch. Strange.
Among my troubles: problems with the carts showing a quantity and then click on it and it says empty. Which can stack as you try to add an item again and then you'll have to resolve having too much in your cart once it finally appears but then you proceed to try to pay for it:
you might get a can't change the shipping speed even though you made no effort to do so.
Getting past this when you go to place the order:
Problems actually processing a payment

I was logged into Bricklink earlier - and now I'm not. It's been logging me out continually ever since merging my accounts late last week - even though I kept trying since the 18th. I couldn't even get into my account at all for TWO WEEKS! (LEGO CS wasn't much help, and it resolved itself without them doing anything AFAIK.)
I can't log into my account, I've tried on multiple computers and it won't work. I tried ordering without logging in and even that leaves me with an error message! I want Outlaw Forest Den and I know it will sell out! This is so frustrating.
I hope I get one. My order page has errors. Wishing all true collectors to get theirs; no scalping!
I was in the process of paying and it crashed. Keeps saying can't ship to address.
Now I cant check out and it shows items in my cart but says its empty
Despite an initial 505 error, I managed to secure the Wolfpack castle, and added set 40789 Flying Moon Car to my cart as well.
I have 2 in my cart but I only want one and I can't get in to change it or to check out. Lego can't be more pathetic if they tried.
20 mins in and none of the sets have been funded yet. Is interest in the BDP slowly waning, or is this just a weak batch with limited appeal? Or could it be the new rule that no set really is ltd to a given number anymore?
Bit of a mess faced problems with both bricklink and lego site but got my order confirmation in the end (Outlaw Forest Den).

Everyone but Lego did expect it.

They've changed it so the maximum numbers are now flexible, so nobody that really wants any of them should miss out.

I think people were conscious of ordering immediately with the prior series because there was a chance some could be sold out in a couple of hours, whereas that should not be the case any more.
After poor experiences with the build quality in previous BLDP sets I’ve bought, I’m relieved that none of these even remotely appeal to me and so I’m not thinking “Maybe THIS one will be okay” and buying it anyway.
Existential Question of the Day: how can you have 3 items in your cart; have nothing in your cart; and have forgotten why you wanted to purchase the stupid freakin' products- all at the same time?
A: BLDP Day at LEGO. (of course, please apply open hand to broad side of your own face as violently as you dare)

Or... the ordering system in the US does not work.
Has anyone tried order through customer service, or is that a waste of time?
My bag icon has four items, but when I want to go to my cart I'm told may bag is empty, but the bag icon shows 4, but I can't clear out my bag because it's empty.... UGHH!!
I'm bored and tired.
I was going to get all the sets, and two of sequoia.
I think I'll come back in a few hours, and see if I still give a rat's ass.
I can't believe it's WORSE THAN EVER!!! How can LEGO be such a piece of crap arrogant company??!!
I have items in my cart, but can't see them and can't advance at Lego.com. Will check back in 20 minutes.

That has always been the case, so would not explain the change in funding speed this time!
You would think a major retailer like LEGO would have adaptable web site capacity figured out by now. It is a solved problem.
My bag shows a number greater than zero next to it, yet when I click to see my cart it says "You don't have anything in your bag." Quality work right there.
These are typical Lego-website-on-release-day shenanigans! I can't even log into Bricklink, and I'm not buying anything!

It's worse this time for me. Usually I can power through the server errors. This time I'm being blocked. I think I'm not the only one.
30 minutes of trying to place an order without success is enough. I'm going back to bed and hoping that by the time I wake up:
1) The website will be fixed.
and
2) They won't have sold out.
This is the worst I've ever seen their website function, including past BDP series.
How many sets will be produced now? 100K? None of them are funded yet, and it's already 35 min since start.
They need to reboot their US server. Someone tell their IT people to unplug it, wait 30 seconds and plug it back in.
Interesting, I was on the phone to LEGO Customer Services 2mins or so before the start and we were both watching the countdown and neither of us could log in! I said I would keep trying and thanked him for his help but it was good to see they could not get in either and he said he would flag it up the line.
Anyway, after bouncing in and out, back in, ordering two of the one I only wanted one of and then having an empty shopping bag, server error and a full shopping bag, eventually I ended up with what I wanted, just one Outlaws Den!
it would be good for LEGO to be honest and say, like last time, everyone who wants one will get one, then there would not be the mad rush to get a set before the scalpers take all the sets. On the plus side, all have not been funded yet, which means they may be allowing more to be ordered....
Unexpected error on my address field apparently???? Have purchased every series until the last one. Was going to grab two sets here, but they can keep them. They are killing this program.
Schrodinger's Cart
Both there and not there at the same time.

Have to agree with others here. I've purchased at least one BDP set every series and with one exception have tried getting them right when the sets were available for purchase. The most it's taken me is ~20 minutes. Almost 40 minutes in, I've still been unable to check out. The issue this time appears to be different. Before, the Lego site would be sluggish due to traffic. This time, it's not. However, I have multiple items in my cart, but I can't check out because my shopping cart is empty when I click on it, like some others have mentioned.
Apparently, the savings from single molded legs and no arm printing was not enough to upgrade their ordering system.
Could this debacle result in underfunding or gosh forbid unfunded sets?
UK: sets ordered, it all worked absolutely no problems, no drama (well, until they arrive and the missus notices!)

My experience has been literally the polar opposite. And in fact, I’m probably more interested in 4 of these than most things in my $3000 wish list on LEGO.com.
Lego's IT team is pathetic.
I got the bag is empty message - but I've had that once or twice before when I've put in parts orders. This time as in the past I found that just waiting and not clicking anything for 20 seconds while it finishes loading everything for the page then the stuff appeared and the empty bag message goes away.

They had to spend it all flying the LAN in for butt-kissing, your-a-nerd-celebrity day! Plus, an extra trip for those who were specially chosen to compliment the Death Slice.
Managed to get my order in after the usual cart and checkout issues - order placed at 16:06, 'order is confirmed' email arrived at 16:25.
Not the worst experience with BDP, but not the best either...
I decided on 910054 The Art Factory, 910057 Outlaw Forest Den, and 910056 Off-Road Adventure
I've just built my 910047 Medieval Seaside Market and thoroughly enjoyed it, so I'm looking forward to the Outlaw Forest Den for my Wolfpack to display alongside.

I tried adding the DSlice to my bag to see if that would help.
SPOILER ALERT: it didn't. :(
PROGRESS! (NOT!!)
My cart opened up for a brief moment. Just long enough for me to delete the unwanted items I'd been adding. Now I have one Outlaw Forest Den in my bag, but I can't get the cart open again. UGHH AgAiN! I do have a real job that needs attention LEGO, help me out a little here!
Outlaw Den funded after an hour, but still slow so let's hope everyone can get what they want?

I had the same thing happen several times. I was finally able to check out, but still got an error message that payment couldn't be processed. I did get an email saying "We've got your LEGO order!" but it doesn't include any other details. So, I'm not sure if it actually went through or not. I'd suggest keep trying!
Edit: I did check my orders on LEGO.com and it does show it in process. Good luck!
My cart was having errors for about 20 minutes, but I was able to check out with the Outlaw Forest Den and the Off-Road Adventure.
Got me an Off Road Adventure...finally. I am happy. Hope everyone gets what they want.
US order was able to go through.. good luck folks
I refreshed and refreshed and eventually got to check out after an hour
BAM!! Finally!
Regained access to my cart, after an hour of trying...
...only to have my payment not process.
Attempt no. 2 was successful. Payment went through and Order Number received. 9 AM exactly.
This has been the worst BLDP experience I've ever experienced.
But at least I have successfully completed my mission.
One hour and change in and finally got through. Maybe the US server did day light savings time early? The BLDP probably makes Lego IT quake in their ABS boots like Y2K.
I ordered three different sets. Got confirmations for all three sets. The only one I had issues with was the Sequoia set as it took about a dozen attempts to actually add that one to my cart. I did a separate order for each one. All my ordering was finished within the first 10 minutes.
Not sure why everyone is complaining now that they don't impose overall limits on the sets anymore. Just wait an hour and everything works properly.
I'm really on the fence here. Outlaw Forest Den looks good, but not great, but I have loads of the Wolf Pack CMF that would go well with it. But the mine looks amazing and much more polished, but I'm not into the theme and the price in considerably higher. I don't know which one to get. Or neither, seeing as how many amazing official sets keeps pumping out.
Funny. Suddenly the bars showing an approximation of how many sets were sold have disappeared. All sets just show up as funded. I think LEGO IT did a lil' booboo.

I don't recall seeing anything for series 6 stating production quantities were unlimited, however I do recall they did it for a previous series.... I think series 5?
Series 6 does state the usual 3,000 minimum pre-order limit, with a limited production to be produced...
EDIT - I just noticed the progress bar for each set is no longer visible (I guess because they're all funded).
The one thing that makes me think there's definitely a limited amount available, and makes me wish that the progress bar came back is at the very top it says in fairly large "Pre-ordering ends on October 13th, 2025 at 12 PM Pacific time, or once all sets sell out."
That part about once all sets sell out really makes me think there's a finite amount...
I cannot order this from Poland.
I can add the item to the cart if I manually change the URL to /en-us/ instead of /pl-pl/
but I will not be able to enter my shipping address.
Does anyone else have the same issue? I didn't have this issue beffore.
(I am trying to contact the Lego customer support)
I recall seeing some commentary from the BDP team that said they'd remove the progress bar for this series because of the issues last series that were caused by the more flexible allocation, so I was surprised to see it still there when I ordered. Shame it's gone now - I liked knowing when sets got funded, and the relative levels of interest across the series...

Same problem here. It took me the first ten minutes to get the Mine ordered. After that I tried to order the Outlaw set but it kept coming up with the 500 error. I opted to have Lego to call me back since I was waiting for 15 minutes on their phone system. In the meantime I kept trying to order. Every time I tried to order it would stall the order page and tell me I had exceeded the order limit but there was nothing in my cart at the same time. Very frustrating. I finally got through to the order page with two in my cart but I only wanted one so I got through that and placed the order. Lego customer service called me back about a half an hour later and boy did they get an ass chewing. The rep quickly lost her happy, helpful attitude and said she would pass the criticism along. I hope she does.

My worry is Lego removed it to encourage people to order now instead of later, since now we have no idea how close the sets really are to selling out.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. I wonder why. I am someone who used to like the BDP for its exclusive character. Knowing you own a rare and unique set has appeal to me. Controversial POV maybe, but I get the feeling TLG is now just mass producing these sets right now. So for me, the first time I won't order anything.

For me it is more that this completely removes the FOMO, gives me an opportunity to actually resist the temptation to spend, and thus reassess my priorities. My brain has now decided that my priorities are none of these, but rather the UCS Jango Fett ship, the Black Pearl and the Minifig Machine.
And tbh, it also removes a large part of the charm of these BDP sets.

But it never was really exclusive. Yes you get an exclusive box but none of the parts or figs are exclusive. That and the instructions are electronic so anyone can have them. I've downloaded all of the instructions for every BDP set ever made even though I don't own most of them. If I want the set all I have to do is make a bricklist for the parts and order them. I watched a new/sealed train shed sell for $207 on Ebay last week with a reasonable amount for shipping, no scamming with a $200 shipping price. They aren't that desirable for most people other than Lego fan bois.

Tbh, I really like that Death Star. and will buy it at some point. Star Wars fan and big fan of massive LEGO sets. But I know it will not remain exclusive and show up at Smyths for 25% off or sth. That is 250 CHF, which equals the next modular.
I do also wonder if they made the week window shorter than what it was before to not overlap with the double VIP points starting on the 14th.

The sets are indeed exclusive, even if they don't use exclusive pieces/prints. Like most things in life, the whole is more than its parts.
A lot of us are very excited for the program and this very series. Let's try and not lump everyone together as any one thing, let alone "fan bois."
Outlaw Forest Den tempted me, but it doesn't feel like it has enough of the official LEGO aesthetic that I love. However, I did go for Sequoia Tree Trail! I love me some LEGO trees.
I've ordered the Gold Mine, thank you @CapnRex101. I'm going to let that sit for a bit before I order my next one.
The removal of the progress bars and the "FUNDED" label really bothers me. If it turns out that any of these don't reach 3,000 and none of us were aware, there's going to be an uproar.

Progress bars going away was a little concerning, but I just checked and all 5 sets show "funded" now. You have to click on their individual pages.

It just means that they can end ordering earlier if numbers go crazy.
These days it seems lots more people are clued up about gaming the system. I heard one influencer on YouTube telling people to order one of each in different orders anyway even if undecided. Then just cancel if you decide against. Similarly someone else commenting to buy a second of each again in different orders so they can be cancelled individually, then cancel before delivery if the secondary market price is not high enough. I imagine LEGO are going to end up manufacturing too many by the time cancellations are taken into account.

But the box, the box, you don't own the set if you don't have the box!
The lack of anything exclusive and the price also puts me off. The Wolfpack figure they include here and on PAB isn't even the best Wolfpack figure from the past year. The design/print of the CMF is far superior.
After pre-ordering opened I could see the progree bar showing if the sets had reached their funding numbers yet but since I have refreshed the Brickset site this info has disappeared. Has anyone experienced this?
Im just wondering if they have decided to hide the funding progress info in case it skews peoples purchasing decisions.

Progress bars going away was a little concerning, but I just checked and all 5 sets show "funded" now. You have to click on their individual pages."
Thank you very much. I still miss the progress bar, even if the end kept pushing out of reach. This was one of the few occasions where LEGO would let us behind the curtain to see this type of data.

That part about once all sets sell out really makes me think there's a finite amount..."
I imagine LEGO are going to end up manufacturing too many by the time cancellations are taken into account."
This just goes to show that not all of us are wired the same. It would never have occurred to me to fake order just to see if I could book a secondary profit during the 6 month wait. Folks may think that abusing the system like this only impacts the big bad company, but I'm confident that LEGO will get its money back from each and every one of us somehow.
I appreciate the opportunity to "extend" my consideration beyond the 1 week time limit and I do recommend buying if at all in doubt since you can still cancel, but I think most of us wouldn't abuse this opportunity. Heck, I can't remember the last time I canceled a LEGO order, though I'm sure I should have.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. I wonder why. I am someone who used to like the BDP for its exclusive character. Knowing you own a rare and unique set has appeal to me. Controversial POV maybe, but I get the feeling TLG is now just mass producing these sets right now. So for me, the first time I won't order anything."
For me it is more that this completely removes the FOMO, gives me an opportunity to actually resist the temptation to spend, and thus reassess my priorities. My brain has now decided that my priorities are none of these, but rather the UCS Jango Fett ship, the Black Pearl and the Minifig Machine.
And tbh, it also removes a large part of the charm of these BDP sets."
The sets are indeed exclusive, even if they don't use exclusive pieces/prints. Like most things in life, the whole is more than its parts.
A lot of us are very excited for the program and this very series. Let's try and not lump everyone together as any one thing, let alone "fan bois.""

Exclusive means limited to only one person, group, or organization, often implying that others are excluded from participation or access. It can also refer to something that is expensive and available only to a select few. Source: Google AI
As you can see, these sets do not meet the definition of exclusive partly because there are no exclusive parts and the instructions are not printed, only available digitally which can be obtained by anyone even if they don't own the set. If they did have both I could agree with you but they aren't so I can't.

There's a very informative video on the Brickfanatics YouTube channel (boy! I've been saying that an awful lot lately).
The video is from an executive at BL and he explains the new BLDP policy. They are still under a strict limit of 150,000 sets per release wave. These sets are limited, and can sell out.
However, they want to use that 150k limit to get as many sets to as many fans as possible. Therefore, they will monitor the early sales in order to determine which sets could use more or less. Unsurprisingly, almost all sales occur in the first and last day of the cycle.
Thus, they are shortening the cycle to assist with the allocation process. They have removed the progress bars because they (my words here) can't figure out how to have the graphs accurately reflect the situation.

Lego also called in a few of the chosen to get exclusive content, gifts, and meals before the release of the $1k Death Star in order to heighten their 'unbiased objectivity.'

I’ve ordered them both (ETFs have been kind to me this month), but I’m still weighing whether to fully modularise the Art Factory, or simply discard the raised sidewalk and add a step/ramp at the entries plus technic bricks where needed, but keep it dollhouse-style. Forest Den is fun, though maybe a bit too greebled, so I might tone that down in due time.

@stylecounselor this has been explained before many, many times. You are wrong in your assumptions, and just won't admit defeat. Please, give it a rest, will you?
Also, calling people "nerd" and 'dork" makes you sound like you've never advanced emotionally past middle or high school - most adults don't call names like children often do - and no, I'm NOT advocating for stronger, filthier names! I wish people would leave name calling to kids and act like adults!
For the comments about no exclusive parts being used in these sets, many of them do have exclusive stickers.
That said, the lack of exclusive parts in some official LEGO sets, hasn't hurt their collectability. I have parted together several sets a with no exclusive parts (other than instructions/boxes) for a fraction of the official set retirement price...a few being the first Mars Rover, Escape from Space Slug, the Death Star Detention Block, Aquaman SDCC set, and others. Yet the official sets remain very collectable.

I've switched my baseplates out for regular 16x16 plates, and that might be a solution you want to look into for the "dollhouse" aspect of Art Factory. It'd be easy to split the full thing in two halves (and get rid of the hinges that will hinder connectivity).

I'm not a person who relies upon assumptions. These are facts. Every... single... word. My language may be colorful, but it is dead spot on.
The reason I am raising awareness is because the LAN has become as big a problem as TLG itself. Both need to be held to account. In America, the FTC would probably be seeking to remedy the situation, but not under the current regime.
I appreciate Brickset for having the desire to foster dialogue, accountability, and aspirations of 'unbiased objectivity.' I appreciate that they permit my awareness-raising aspirations. They probably do so because they understand how TLG is sinking into an echo chamber of bloated profits, laziness, and mediocrity.
That will NOT help TLG, Brickset, or anyone else who enjoys this hobby in the long run.

2am wakeup in Australia and managed to secure one of each. This seemed to be the smoothest of BDP orders, thus far! Being at work today, after a long weekend and early start is gonna suck!

Like any word, those are only pejorative descriptions that have the weight which your personal experience and intention give to them.
I myself enjoy being a 'dork' and a 'nerd' on occasion. If I'm being completely honest, I'm undoubtedly both of those things for having this discussion.
If you are interested in my definitions, a 'dork' is someone who acts in an immature manner outside the boundaries of normal in a given time and place. A 'nerd' is someone who is overly knowledgeable and technical about a subject in a given time and place.
What does it say about someone who has fear of missing out on FOMO itself?
Asking for a friend.
P.S. I need my status bar.

Personally, I would build the ramp along the sidewalk - and keep it raised as it is. Not every streets are level everywhere. That will be a nice change to have some discontinuity in the sidewalk. That's just my opinion; in the end, this is your city and you plan it as your council dictates ;-)
