Disney Advent Calendar - Day 9
Posted by MeganL,Yesterday we met the second Frozen princess, Anna (or is that the only princess? Elsa may be a queen in Olaf's Frozen Adventure). So we have a few characters to play the game, I think now we need to start filling out the scene.
Today we have a hearth! At least I think it's a hearth, since there's a fire lit in the middle. It has all of the characteristics of a hearth, with the arch and mantel. At least Anna and Elsa will be able to keep warm!
There's also not a lot of play value with this (I suppose you could load it on the sleigh?), and it does look suspiciously plain. I expect we'll get some decorations in a future build.

Oh yeah, probably good that this came after Anna and not Olaf. That could have been awkward…
I'm mostly seeing Baymax dropping some glowing embers.

Thanks, we won't see Baymax the same way, ever.
It looks less like an "active" fire than glowing embers, which is an interesting choice. I guess it might be for space reasons but still.
Five open studs (not counting the base), and no festive decorations? Mediocre! I kinda want this DAC because it’s entirely Frozen-themed, but I don’t even want to pay $30 for it.
I thought it is called a fireplace. What is the difference?

Maybe something from a future day will hook to those, like the garland in last year's Harry Potter calendar? Hopefully so, at least.

And maybe it'll take four days to cook a turkey.
A bit bare, but neat.

From my understanding, a fireplace is the basic hole in the wall then fire goes into, a hearth includes all the surrounding elements like the mantelpiece and decoration as well
All those open studs and the colour palette is giving me real "M*g* Bl*ks" vibes.
(Apologies for the language)
This piece of existential architecture is silently screaming with the pain of being and the bitter absurdity of the essential loneliness and isolation which every consciousness must bare... especially on the holidays.
This cheerful holiday missive was brought to you especially by The Dreaded One.
