Friends Advent Calendar - Day 16

Posted by ,

Friends in festive pyjamas have certainly been a highlight of the calendar so far, and Autumn's outfit yesterday was no exception. So far whenever we've met one of the Friends, the next day usually includes either their pet or one of their interests. Since Autumn is the Friend who loves animals, I would say something animal themed (a pet or something else) is a safe bet for today's build.

This is animal themed, but not quite in the way I was expecting! Note, the 2x4 jumper was NOT included in my calendar. I just couldn't figure out any other way to take a good picture of the hobbyhorses!

Hobbyhorses are what we have today, taking advantage of the newer horsehead pieces that were featured in some Friends sets earlier this year. Two hurdles are also provided, so it looks like the Friends will be having some fun (literally) running around the house.

Again, not overly festive, but certainly appropriate for a slumber party. And I think this might be the first time there have been hobbyhorses in an advent calendar.

The hobby horse head came from 71034-11. Also, this sort of thing is actually real. It’s…eyebrow-raising.

Depends on whether anyone decided to pony up for two of this AC. That might be something of a hurdle. If you hoof it you might be able to pick up a second one yourself to try it.

I’ve seen quite a few DACs and SWACs, and even two HPACs on shelves, but none of the other three lately.

By in Turkey,

I'm thinking about turning this toy horse into a coin operated ride. I'm waiting for the right idea to come.

Hobby horses? Yes. Adults with hobby horses running around acting like they’re doing equestrian jumping competitions with real horses? Um…also yes. Apparently. There’s video of it out there, which I’ve randomly encountered, and I can’t even remember where, but the fact that it exists is burned into my memory.

You can do anything but never go against the family... Dreadflipper is family.
