Friends Advent Calendar - Day 21
Posted by MeganL,So, we're at Day 21, and we've only just had all the attendees to the sleepover show up! All five Friends in the calendar are here along with their animal companions. My one question now is - where's Zac? I can forgive Paisley's and Olly's absence as they were featured in last year's calendar, but poor Zac hasn't had the benefit of getting the holiday treatment in an advent calendar yet. Maybe next year....
In the meantime, there's only four more doors to open! Let's hope for something fun today.
Oh, finally! Today we have a Christmas tree complete with decoration. It even comes with a sugar cookie on a plate ready for St. Nick for his visit on Christmas Eve.
I like the use of the dark green for the tree, and the red and pink ornaments are very Friends-ian. I would have liked to see some more colour, but at this point, I'm just happy we have a festive build. It feels like a long time since we had something appropriately Christmassy.

Crossover confirmed. Let's see if we can't pair off he-who-shall-not-be-named with she-who-may-never-mind-your-pets.
"Friends-ian." Now you have me thinking about what the demonym for people from Heartlake City would be. Heartlake-ians?" "Heartlakers?" "Heartlakites?" Also, that's two calendars so far that have had a food item that's out of scale with something else from the same day. For Disney, it was the cat and the croissant. Now, it's the cookie and the saucer. I've seen some big cookies, but outside of the giant ones from Great American Cookies, I'm not sure I've seen one that would take up that much of a standard saucer.
That tree build certainly is a choice. I like how it's actually wide in 3D, has various baubles and has the scruffy branches you'd expect.
But those bright green SNOT bricks... they are too obvious and put attention to the blockiness of the thing. And the star being placed flat on the top feels a bit bizarre. I'm not a huge fan of using a 1x1 plate round with bar because the star sticks out and only to one side, but this looks like they should've just gone for that.
Far less famous than the star-nosed mole is the star-nosed tree, which can eat sugar cookies faster than any plant known to science.
Isn’t this the same tree that’s in the Minecraft calendar?

It’s obviously “Heartlake-terrans”
Now I want to go back to Epcot

No. For one thing, this one has cheese slopes.
What a cute tree.
Kinda looks like a tree-Droid escaped from the SWAC
