City Advent Calendar - Day 11
Posted by CapnRex101,As we approach the halfway point of this Advent Calendar, the minifigures have been exceptional, but I think the accompanying models have been more mixed.
I hope today yields something more substantial...
60475 LEGO City Advent Calendar 2025 only contains 186 pieces in total, which is fewer than most Advent Calendars, so maybe smaller items are all we should expect. This grey kitten and its cardboard box are quite cute, showing that 'if I fits, I sits' applies in LEGO City just as it does in real life!
Even so, it would have been nice to have another colour, as the dark bluish grey kitten is fairly common, while the dark orange version has only appeared twice.
Overall - LEGO animals are always fun, but I wish something a bit larger or more creative had accompanied the kitten.

I feel like, it seems to be halfway through the calendars where it really sinks in just how little building is actually involved with these City calendars, these days.
The cat is cute, but this is, what? Two pieces?
I agree that a less common colour kitten would have been nice. Although the dark orange hasn't appeared since 2022, the dark tan one is currently available. It's only in two large, expensive sets too, 10350 Tudor Corner and 21359 Italian Riviera, so that would have been a nice one to include in a cheaper set.
Happy kitten.
Gives me abandoned kitten vibes.
:(
Cat's ready to be mailed to Abu Dhabi.
As soon as I saw the picture, I thought, "If I fits, I sits." And then the actual article used the line!
A cat and their favourite toy (the toy itself is elsewhere, but the box is a huge hit!)

Just needs a second box with a babyfig sitting in it.
They might have thought the gray cat would contrast better with the brown box.
A cat and a box, a neat gift.
If it had a lid, would it still be there?

I understood that reference.
A couple days ago the SW AC also had a box (crate) and contents, and most respondents (including the reviewer - the *same* reviewer here, even) had overwhelmingly more negative responses, despite that day’s reveal being conceptually pretty much the same as this (only larger, with twice the piece count and vastly more actual construction potential). Just what makes the difference - the fact the kitty is printed, the de rigueur negativity of SW fandom, or what?
To the designer: why no poop, ya stupe?!
