City Advent Calendar - Day 20

Posted by ,

There are only a few days remaining in the City Advent Calendar, so I hope for a stronger focus on specifically seasonal models as we approach Christmas Day.

Let's see whether that is the case today...

Food accessories often form a central part of LEGO City Advent Calendars, so this one has been an outlier in that regard because I think this is the first day of food! I love the festive colours of the trolley and there are some interesting elements arranged on top, with the printed iced biscuits and a cupcake in a red case. The whole platter looks extremely inviting.

Overall - I find the Christmassy colours attractive and there are some nice accessories included, but I would have liked a few more.

Looks quite festive, albeit a bit low to the ground. But definitely nice enough for advent calender build!

Looking at those two cookies in the 1x2 rounded plate, all I can think of is how Lego usually does food and water dishes for pets.

I've never lived in a house that was big enough to need a cart to deliver food to the table.

Those biscuits do look like they're unsuitable if not outright unsafe for dogs to eat, leading me to believe that today is another rare Friends crossover-event.

You can never have too many of decorative element number 2.

I’ve been doing this Advent Calendar while one of my kids does a Minecraft one, and the other is doing a Harry Potter one from a previous year.

We all agree this City one is a little disappointing, even at $10 cheaper than the others. What helps is all the space themed goodness. But still, it’s a little underwhelming compared to the other two.
