City Advent Calendar - Day 24
Posted by CapnRex101,Of the twenty LEGO City Advent Calendars launched between 2005 and 2024, seventeen have included the same item on the final day!
I think chances are high for the same thing on the last day of the 2025 calendar...
Santa Claus is pretty much essential in the LEGO City Advent Calendar and exactly the same minifigure has appeared a few times lately. Some might consider the figure repetitive and I am never averse to an updated torso or the like, but I well remember how much I looked forward to my first Santa Claus minifigure as a child and I am sure there will be children feeling the same today!
The dual-moulded legs are welcome and I love the shaded fur printed on the torso, though the previous Santa minifigure with a candy cane tucked into his belt remains narrowly my favourite. Still, the difference is slight and the dual-moulded hat looks excellent too, paired with the rubber beard, as ever nowadays.
Santa's facial expression under the beard looks suitably calm and friendly, but I do miss his old gold-rimmed glasses. This remains a great minifigure though and the medium nougat sack is a perfect accessory, of course.
Overall - Though maybe not appealing to adults with plenty of Santa minifigures already, this is an essential addition to the Advent Calendar and a fitting conclusion.
Summary
I think the minifigures in the City Advent Calendar have been outstanding this year and the set clearly received a higher budget than usual, given the number of new elements. Apart from the fantastic figures, there was the polar bear plush and a new colour for the scooter frame, both of which are welcome additions.
On the other hand, I think you could feel the reduced piece count on certain days, as lots of the models we have received have been pretty lightweight. I quite enjoyed the minifigure-scale toys though, especially those inspired by recent City sets.
Of course, the highlights were probably the minifigure dressed in a Classic Space jumper and the Christmas tree costume, with the latter a particular standout because I cannot recall a City Advent Calendar including a unique mould before.
What do you think of the City Advent Calendar and which items are your favourites? Let us know in the comments and thank you for reading this month!

An excellent calendar, no wonder it sold out early and I couldn't get one.
The minifigs are simply wonderful, and perhaps some of the best from any LEGO advent calendar. The accessories are okay, and even most of the micro builds are nice, even if I don't specifically care for them myself. As minifigure toys, they do look pretty good, so if you have a toy shop in your LEGO City, these are fun additions.
I prefer the dark-red BAM Santa suit (also w/ candy cane), but at this point I probably have around 50 Santa minifigs, and barely any of them use this torso.
I'm old enough to remember when Santa Claus minifigs use Majisto's beard and the Pirates bandanna cap, like https://brickset.com/minifigs/hol009/santa-red-legs. Although even that figure is an improvement over the other Santa from 2824, https://brickset.com/minifigs/hol010/santa-yellow-legs-with-black-hips-yellow-torso. But yeah, this was a pretty good calendar. If it weren't for Minecraft getting a calendar this year, I'd probably have gotten it.
Personally I found the calender on the whole just okay. I miss some size. Every model was either a minifig or a tiny little thing. Something like a table, lanternpost or hearth would be nice to see again.
I get that people like the figs, but I'm not really a fig person.

Hey at least that Santa had a full red suit, somehow the only one I've ever acquired was the one from 7324, https://brickset.com/minifigs/hol003/santa-dark-bluish-gray-legs
This was my first City advent calendar (I usually get the Star Wars one), and I loved it! For me, this was only my third Santa, and I have three different versions (including one without dual-moulded legs, and the other with the candy cane). I found it a lot of fun overall.
Best Advent Calendar of 2025.

So am I, but I pretend I’m not. Old enough. Or able to remember Sleepover Santa. Saddest day in Santa’s life was when they finally made a proper Santa beard for the CMF line…and you couldn’t use it because doing so made it ever so much more obvious that he was wearing a onesie rather than a proper Santa suit.

Oh dear. Somehow I'd managed to get this far in life without seeing Santa in a Speedo. I -- Words fail me.
But now I have to rummage through my bits box and see if I have a white beard like that. A line-up of Santas in the police station suddenly seems like an amusing idea.
The miniature toy builds were what I enjoyed the most.
Merry Christmas, Capn!
A big celebration for the space builds and the alien who arrived to the City. What a cool Santa.
Thanks @CapnRex101 for your astounding work - as always - and merry Christmas to ya'all!

During the off season, I have Santa driving around in a swimsuit, but it’s board shorts. He is bare-chested, though. And Mrs. Claus is in a red lifeguard one-piece. The elf is also in board shorts, but I think he might have a shirt on.
Ho, ho, ho!
Loved the snowman with tricorn hat celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution where we kicked off the freedom-slaving shackles of the ballyhooed British!!
CapnRex, thank you so much for all your work during the year, and for this delightful guided tour of Lego City Christmas!
The plain Santa torso (no candy cane) and one with glasses is the best in my opinion.
I also really like the dark red BAM Santa as someone else mentioned.
