Harry Potter Advent Calendar - Day 6
Posted by CapnRex101,While the owl and yesterday's Sorting Hat leave something to be desired, I still think these small models have potential, depending on the chosen subject.
Hopefully day six will bring something executed better than previous mini models...
This is certainly a step in the right direction! Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans are an icon of the Wizarding World and this little box, which features printed tiles on each side, looks fantastic. The 2x3 tiles are evidently essential to the model, but that is to be expected at such a small scale and the designs are beautifully detailed, even including a minifigure version of the clown seen on the boxes in the films.
Overall - This is a lovely model, thanks to the intricately decorated 2x3 tiles.

In fairness, even real jellybeans already feature every conceivable flavour in the world, whether you want them or not. Cucumber! Water! Soap! Garlic! Earwax! Despair! Paint! Burning tyre! Knife!
I just don't see the appeal. I can TASTE it, because somehow, the taste of appeal has been captured in jellybean-format, despite my many protests.
I know it won’t change anything, but it still makes me sad you guys cover this theme.

True. This is probably the Harry Potter theme’s weakest offering in their Advent calendar lineup since its introduction in 2019.

Someone picked the bogey-flavoured one.
I prefer buying jellybeans in bulk, where you can pick the good flavors and skip the rest.

So, you know how people are mad about the FIFA trophy set because of, among other things, their nonsense with Donald Trump? Imagine how mad people would be about the FIFA trophy set if there was some kind of arrangement where every dollar spent on FIFA merchandise would, in some objective and tangible manner, slightly increase Trump's ability to do everything people hate about him, and Trump was aware of this and frequently explicitly cited FIFA's popularity as evidence that he was right about everything.
What is this?

Woah. This went somewhere completely different.
This feels like the HP calender using its usual weird lenience to get one-off prints to basically buy off the need to put much effort into today's build. Of course, it wouldn't be possible without the print, but this calender has a weird obsession with 'icon' builds over minifig scale things so they could have picked anything they wanted.

Ah yes, knife flavor is my flavorite. The taste is a bit sharp though. 'Flavorite' was not a misspelling btw
It’s hard to get excited over what is basically just a box, even if what it’s replicating is in fact an actual box

Ironically, I bought this set at Costco.

JKR is a bigot

Repeatedly claiming so doesn't make it any more true - can any of you link to (not elaborate here) some reasonably-reliable sources that explains *specifically* what she have done that's so horrible? Without facts and evidence this looks more like yet another baseless social media slandering/cancellation campaign.

Hello, friend! Welcome to the Informinet Superhighwebs. We're so happy to have you here, on your very first day, and what a day it is!
Look, in all seriousness - yes, I could link you to JKR's posts on Xwitter, in which she vehemently attempts to defend the indefensible, but you know just as well as anyone else how Google-searches and/or Wikipedia work. And unfortunately, this isn't new. She's been screeching about this since 2019, so - I'm not sure how you've missed this.
I don't feel the burden of proof is on any of us. If you want to learn more - more than you would care to learn - I would suggest starting your search by throwing "JRK" and "TERF" into your search-engine of choice. We'll be here when you get back. We've been there. It's not great, but you're not alone.
